Played it with standard difficulty (100%) and thought it was nice, but not challenging.
Then activated a few of the difficulty settings, and now I'm at 500+ hours of gameplay.
Also, the Green planet DLC is a must have, since it adds a few terraforming milestones which are very hard to reach. Since the game is open end, I mostly finish when terraforming is completed
Finally, the game has a good modding community, and an easy ingame way to install mods, although one needs a paradox account to use that.
