The Lich has thrown the world into a timeless loop and plunged its inhabitants into never ending chaos. Wield an expanding deck of mystical cards to place enemies, buildings, and terrain along each unique expedition loop for the brave hero. Recover and equip powerful loot for each class of hero for their battles and expand the survivors' camp to reinforce each adventure through the loop. Unlock new classes, new cards, and devious guardians on your quest to shatter the endless cycle of despair.

Infinite Adventure: Select from unlockable character classes and deck cards before setting out on each expedition along a randomly generated loop path. No expedition is ever the same as the ones before it.

Plan Your Struggle: Strategically place building, terrain, and enemy cards along each loop to create your own dangerous path. Find balance between the cards to increase your chances of survival while recovering valuable loot and resources for your camp.

Loot and Upgrade: Strike down menacing creatures, recover stronger loot to equip on the fly and unlock new perks along the way.

Cool game with a cool concept

Trying to describe it doesn't work very well but I guess you could call it an idler + RPG + deck builder... but that doesn't sound very good and it's a great game. My only problem with it is you can't save and come back to a run. That's usually a dealbreaker for me but you could leave early and retain most (or all if you finish the loop) of your collected resources so it isn't too big of an issue in this case but still costs it a star.

Addictively fun and replayable.

Honestly was initially turned off by the really simple/minimalist pixel art of the Loop Gameplay itself, but thought the concept sounded interesting so I tried the Demo. Played for 8 hours straight trying to kill the damn Lich. The game is a lot of fun and has a lot of depth and interesting hidden mechanics and interactions I won't spoil cause they're a lot of fun to explore on your own. Great and fun game for the value especially. I'd 100% recommend at least giving the Demo a try. Please send help though I can't leave my house until I kill this spoopy skeleton...

Very grindy

While I did like the game's concept and feel the graphics are o.k. (they are not pretty though), I feel that the game is too grindy. Took me 3 or 4 runs to beat the Lich, but now I feel that there is very little progress in terms of game mechanics. I'll give the rogue a couple of hours, but progress village-wise seems veeery slow which somehow puts me off because I do have a full-time, job, wife and kid. Nothing compare to rogue-lites like Monster-Train where you make tough choices during the run and every run starts anew. Yes, you unlock a couple of cards here and there in monster train, but I feel the development of the village in Hero-Loop is too slow.

Don't believe the hype

It's a very average game in which you make some fairly obvious choices, and gradually tick along a predetermined rng curve towards finishing. I think the reason the game only has a 2x speed option (you'll want a 10x within an hour) is that having such an option would expose just how uninvolved the game is and how little you're really doing. It got to the point where I wasn't even looking at the screen, just waiting for the result of the battle, making a choice on the equipment and letting it play on. People telling you this game is something new have clearly not played all the other incremental RNG waitathons (darkest dungeon etc.) - it's nothing new, it's exactly the same as those, uninvolved choices to tilt the numbers as you let time tick by.

[FR] Un jeu aux très bons graphismes pixel rétro, simple à prendre en main et terriblement addictif. Il reprend de nombreux styles tels que stratégie, gestion de camp avec ressources & gestion de personnage avec équipements et talents, cartes deckbuilding, idle game (dans une moindre mesure que tout le reste). L'ambiance musicale ainsi que les effets sonores sont eux aussi très réussis! Le tout pour un prix raisonnable au vu de la qualité du titre. [EN] A nice game with very good retro pixel graphics, simple to learn and extremely addictive. It's a melting pot of many kind of styles such as strategy, camp management with ressources & character management with stuff and perks, deckbuilding, idle game (to a lesser extent than the rest). The musical atmosphere and sounds effects are very well made too! The whole lot for a very affordable price based on the quality of the title. So? What are you waiting for? Christmas?
