Underwhelming
Got into the game ready to be a novel King Solomon, taking difficult choices with no clear outcomes, but the game fails to satisfy expectations set by the trailer. Choices are often economy-based, rather mechanical and rarely require thinking besides the amount of resources available; moreover they are always in the same order so there's even less replayability The story has its charms, with a GOT like setting, your character dealing with alliances, marriages and murders. I liked the family members and even without voice acting, I grow fond of last daughter's voice sound My gripes are with the story itself: SPOILERS For a game about decisions there are a lot of fixed events: - you can't save your first daughter - you only win the first battle with the storm (making all the invested resources beforehand a waste along with the decisions during the battle pointless) - you can't actually guess who is the real killer as the available clues aren't enough and discovering the real murderer is a plot twist The last point that I really hated was the ending for the second daughter subplot: you can keep her locked in the castle or leave her free to escape with her crush. Please bear in mind that I'm roleplaying as her father, no way in hell I leave my 12 yo daughter (also a child even for medieval standards) free to roam the lands with the only protection of her same age lover crush. The point is that no matter your choices, she escapes and the game treated my decision to keep her in the castle as A BAD ENDING since she hates you and leaves forever. To have her love you, you have to let her (again 12 yo) free to go, this way she at least sends you letters. The game could at least acknoledge me with an ending where she is angry but stays. As a parent I'll wait as she reflect and understand my actions. TL:DR For a game based on decisions, you have really poor player agency. I finished it just for the story but after the daughter subplot I decided I will skip the sequel

Boring and overrated
The game is obviously overrated. The story is pretty boring and predictable. I also don`t think I play the game, as it rather plays itself. The characters get annoying pretty fast and I skipped their talk after a short while. I made the mistake of not getting a refund and I strongly advise not to buy the game. I also do not think that all of the reviews on GOG and steam are reliable, as they are way too good.

Great story, great experience
Very good, and I hope I will have chance to experience other similar stories in same world. It would be interesting to see story also from perspective of the bandit king. Anyway. Needles to say, graphics: awesome. Music - wonderful, but some times wish there would be bit more often it. Story, awesome. Atmosphere - incredible (I'm from countryside from world's end, far from cities or industrial centres. It's been very long time I've been there, but in this story I felt so much home - life away from modern technology, landscapes, etc...). Length of story is not so... maybe 17h for me. But I understand reasons for that. I would prefer to give 4,5 stars, but since only full stars can be given.. I ended to give five, hoping it courages or helps in way for developers to keep doing in future ...maybe something similar? There is minor things what could be improved, or major decisions alternated. But I am very happy about this experience. PS. I just ended to wondering, if the king was in end so popular and respected as he was by my play style, could he changed rule to make his daughters to his heirs?
