Wasteland 3

I finished my first playthrough in around 100 hours, 43% achievements, visiting every location, at normal difficulty, which is very easy but still fun to play tbh if you are used to turn based startegy in general. I give 5 stars cause the game is very polished, it has a really good and rewarding turn based combat, a lot of modern quality of life things for an RPG, its interesting, funny, and every aspect is really good (maybe crafting a little sub par but not bad anyway). Tbh i finished it in around 10 days and i felt i wanted a more tbh, its so good that i had the feeling ive put less time into it. The only complain is that as an rpg its really way toooooo linear, its absolutely on rails and its a big letdown for me, but i give anyway the 5 stars cause the game is so very well made in every aspect that i decided i would like to play more anyway.

I was very pleasantly surprised by Wasteland 3 seeing how I didn’t like the second. While not one of the best RPGs out there, it manages to be enjoyable and quite a solid RPG. It really manages to do everything pretty well while also not taking itself entirely seriously. All dialogues have voice lines, and the boss music is very catchy. Some quests are time sensitive, a feature implemented very well. And I enjoyed it’s many QoL features. The biggest criticism that I have is that you are discouraged from using weapon and armor mods because you can’t take them off. And you often depend a lot on finding a high-level weapon through RNG; and then the character that has that weapon becomes by far the most valuable member of the group. This game is absolutely fantastic. I cannot express how splendid the writing is. If you like dark humor, buy this. I usually cannot ever replay a game but I've played this game twice. There are a couple annoying bugs but the chance of encountering them is totally worth it. The ONLY negative that I have for this game is the atrocious DLC packs. Especially the Cult of Deluge one. Absolute nuclear garbage. Other than that I could not recommend this game more. TLDR: If you like ANY Fallout game, play this ASAP. You will not be disappointed.

This is a game I have been looking for, I loved the Fallout 1&2 series for their depth of story, and somehow completely missed the wasteland series. I hope the creators continue the series, as they did a great job with designing a unique story-driven rpg that elevates the story over brainless blood and guts (blood and guts are still there, but it doesn't feel gratuitous). The replay value is impressive, and after playing through it twice while taking my time, I'll probably be playing through half a dozen more times. The only 2 critiques I have, are that the world map could be a bit bigger, with more variety of random encounters, and the game should have mod support. Any game produced in 2020 is fully capable of supporting modding, and the almost total lack of ability to mod the game is the only thing keeping this game from becoming far more popular.

Wasteland 3 gets a lot of things right. That ranges from voice acting and the writing of many of the characters you encounter in the Wasteland to the tactial battles. However there are issues with animations, textures not loading all of the time or not being able to conserve AP for the next turn when certain abilities have been cancelled just before, resulting in a "Invalid Target" message. I have not encountered any major bugs though, which is very good. Yes, I am not finished with the game, but after 30 hours I feel confident to recommend this game. Also, as a PSA: When clicking the little "info"-icon in the upper right hand part of the screen during battles, you can then hover over enemies (and friendlies) and get info on status effects. Using the arrow keys you can cycle through them if there are several.
