I was here with 22 hours of gameplay before the funny African man reviewed the game. Fun RTS by the way, heroes carry over between missions so you can run campaigns to build up characters before facing off against your friends Go find the community patch that fixes the game for widescreen and never play random gen 'smallest' maps unless you're on the minimum resolution - it WILL crash otherwise. (Dark Dwarf Alchemist for life...)

Gog has released a new version of this game (1.0351) which no longer works on Windows 7. The original version (1.0324) worked fine. When I reinstalled the game, it crashed multiple times---so, uninstalled, re-downloaded, reinstalled and same problem.... More over, the MOD has a lot of homemade, poor graphics. GOG beat me out of my money.... DO NOT BUY---this is NOT the same game...it is modded with a host of problems and poor quality sprites.

This game combines the RPG and RTS elements into a great experience. I enjoy the RPG part, where the hero has inventory and levels-up continuously. The global map is a nice touch, letting you chose your own missions, while exploring the world. The RTS part is pretty good, the races are pretty unique. After a certain point the RPG part seams to be more important, your hero becoming a real force of death. To sum all up, it's a great game.

This game crashes far too much on Windows 10. I have tried to play through but 7 crashes in the last hour is just too much of a killjoy for me.

I remember going to one and only shop which sold this game in some oneshot magazine because of WB2. And I was stoked how good alternative this game was for Warcraft 3. In my opinion it'll always be underrated gem of 2000s RTS games. Nice building part, interesting mechanics for each race, nice soundtrack and very well executed RPG part of heroes.
