Super Meat Boy 3D is a tough as nails platformer where you play as an animated cube of meat who's trying to save his girlfriend (who happens to be made of bandages) from an evil fetus in a jar wearing a tux – IN 3D! 

Our meaty hero will leap from walls, over seas of buzz saws, through crumbling caves and pools of old trash sacrificing his own well-being to save his damsel in distress – IN 3D! 

Super Meat Boy 3D brings the old school difficulty of classic retro titles we all know and love and streamlines them down to the essential no bull straight forward twitch reflex platforming. Ramping up in difficulty from hard to soul crushing Meat Boy will brave lush (but also on fire) forests, vast dumps filled with the waste of mankind, and high-tech forges producing the very traps that will inevitably kill Meat Boy over and over and over - IN 3D! 

And if a bunch of levels weren't enough, we also have epic boss fights and tons of unlockable secrets – IN 3D!

I L-O-V-E IT!

I play through the whole demo and really like what i saw. Even a n00b like myself had a lot fun dying multiple times. I played it with a controller and a joystick but i switched to directional pad soon enough. Meat Boy having bruises depending how many times you die is a really nice touch. The game is hard but nothing to crazy, in the end really fun to play. I wish old Super Meay Boy was on GOG store too! Its taking too long guys!! >.< I know is on Steam, but free the game! I never end it, wish I could play it again here.

Surprisingly... great!

I honestly wasn't expecting much. Super Meat Boy felt like such a quintessentially 2D experience, with its fast paced precision running and wall-jumping. Meat Boy Forever was... well, better than I had heard, but was nonetheless rendered pretty bland by its pointless procedural generation. Surely going 3D would be even more of a jump-the-shark moment for the franchise? Well... no, surprisingly not. 3D meat boy feels a lot like 2D meat boy, in how he runs and how he jumps. The 8-directional movement keeps the movement precise and keyboard-friendly. And while 3D platforming comes with its share of inherent issues regarding the camera, every stage (in the demo) feels well thought-out in this regard. I also appreciated how they kept the replay feature at the end of the levels. I always liked watching my dozens of attempts all die in various ways, often en masse, until only my one successful meat boy remains. That was such a key feature of Meat Boy, and I'm glad to see it's back. I've already wishlisted the full version. I think it'll be a hit!

Why is every game not just this game

I loved the origonal super meat so was excited when I saw this. It was an incredibly solid and fun demo - got a sense for the difficulty coming and really hit the same spot the first game did. This game makes me question why I play anything that isn't a 3d platformer
