Bat, Strike, Kick and Smack balls into monstrous menagerie in this retro sport themed fps roguelike, where you are sucked into a portal and emerge with a plethora of sport equipment repurposed into an arsenal of lethal weapons.

 

- Use a variety of sporting equipment to defeat hordes of monsters straight from 50's era creature features by heavy metal baseballs, lightning infused hockey pucks, bowling ball turrets and elemental golf balls that freeze, ignite, or terrify anything in their path, and more!

 

 

- Chat with Jar Dude, your rather questionable guide, who will help you get your bearings in this bizarre world while cracking jokes along the way (whether you want to hear them or not).

Short but very distinct and enojyable

There's something about this sportswear themed retro-50s-horror-show-fps that gets me every time. Maybe it's the sound of hockey packs knocking these zombies out left and right, or the over enthusiastic announcer's headshot call, or the cheer girl coming out of nowhere to congratulate your said headshot, or the whole thing. This game leaks that "creators-are-in-on-it!" charm makes me giggle when I play. This is a small budget rogue lite fps that is created mainly by two guys who their backgrounds are both art, you can beat the game in just 3 to 5 hours if you are good at this kind of game. While it is a short game, gameplay is really fun, the progression tree is large enough to be addictive but not too grindy that you have to do several runs to just upgrade one perk. What differenciate this game from other similar titles is the weapons, they are not the usual asortments of guns or bows or katana or anything like that. You get a bat, a golf club, a hockey stick etc. But you are not using them as melee weapons, where's the sportsmanship in that? No, you hit a ball like a proper sportsman that you are, and let that ball kills unholy creatures. Every weapons have ditinct characteristic from one another, they are really fun to use and sells the whole SPORTAL vibe that's different from other fps. All in all, it's short but gameplay is solid fun, the whole aesthetic is just lovingly crafted. Take a look at the screenshots or the gameplay videos, if you dig the vibe I think you'll enjoy it.
