SOMA gets everything right about the the survival horror genre. It's like someone created the perfect video game mixtape -- a little bit of abandoned underwater atmosphere from BioShock, detailed environments a la Gone Home, and (of course) the frenzied monster mechanics from Amnesia. Even if you dislike non-combat-oriented games, I dare you to give it a try.

This is a great game, the sneaking action is fun, the story is very creative (Well, very might be overstating probably idk). Almost everything looks bloody beautiful, great game.

Excellent.

I have played so many games in my life, and yet only a handful of them have left an impression like Soma did. While not perfect, it is a soul-stirring masterpiece of art.

Avoid this experience...

....unless you embrace masterpiece level game design Armageddon coupling with a slew of artistry monsters smashing into your psychology wrapped in a candy bar wrapper of programming that ate the stars and moons on too many landing strips of your mind. Bye.
