Rune Classic

Pro's Fairly imaginative good looking environments. Solid combat Con's Extremely repetitive enemies. Single player lacking in variety aside from the good looking environments. Summary: Unfortunately Rune is a pretty looking but otherwise boring game in single player. Save your money and buy something like Prince of Persia.

When I had that game on my Playstation 2, it was one of the go to game for fun and entertainment. Now that my PS2 is broken and newer PS2s are not being made anymore, I tried downloading this game on my computer and the quality of it is far from what I used to remember. You cannot play this PC version using any game controller and using the keyboard to play it makes me nauseous. Plus, the difficulties of this game are far different from what I used to remember. Playing it on the easy level sometimes tends to be too easy (you sometimes take no damage while being attacked) and playing on the medium level can be far harder than the medium level on the PS2 (I've seen walkthroughs of the main character being killed after taking just 3 hits from the final boss villain). In other words, the PS2 version of this game is way awesome, the PC version sucks.

Seriously, it's a great game. Good action, brutal melee combat, the atmosphere is pure Unreal engine goodness at its finest (for the day). But this is a rare case of a game that's just overstuffed. Huge long levels and too many of them. It wears out its welcome by the end, but it' sfun for the first 10 hours!

Garbage voice acting. Garbage story. Boring, repetitive combat which becomes completely unbalanced towards the end where enemies can kill you in 2 or 3 hits. Game breaking bug that makes it crash and freeze up in the last level. About 2-3 hours longer than it needed to be. Don't waste your time.
