In the first official expansion pack for Quake II, you are part of an elite commando force that must infiltrate a Strogg site. Mission Pack: Ground Zero
In the second official expansion pack for Quake II, you, and a few marines are the lucky ones. You've made it to the surface of Stroggos in one piece and are still able to contact the fleet. The Gravity Well, the Strogg's newest weapon in its arsenal against mankind, is operational. With the fleet trapped around Stroggos, only 5% of ground forces surviving, and that number dwindling by the second, your orders have changed: free your comrades and destroy the Gravity Well.

Quake 2
Downloaded and installed from the Offline Installer and everything is working perfectly into level 2 . Now, if only my old, damaged ring finger could hit that "A" key better, I'd really be in business! Cubital Tunnel Syndrome can really mess with those old W-A-S-D movement keys! A fun a nostalgia trip!

Enhanced for your pleasure
The enhanced version of quake 2 is epic, especially the music. Good times with this game watching my buddy play it on his grandmas computer way back in the day.

Nostalgia and Fun!
This is probably my favorite ID game aside from the original Doom. Of course I mean for the times that they came out (although Doom is still very playable even now). I found a mod that gave me HD textures, but could have played without. Great level design and interesting how tough all the Strogg aliens are. Good chunky arsenal of weapons, great detail and variety of enemies, puzzles that are fun but don't leave you stuck for hours upon end. The end of an era of classic FPS games before they got jaded and embraced naff gimmicks. There was a lot of hype when it was first released and it did not dissapoint. A really fun FPS game even better or a par with titles released decades later.

Awesome, today I mean
It's July 26, 2019, and I just download this incredible piece of software from 22 years ago, installed, and just lost 2 hours of my life like I did 22 years ago, not even realize it. That, before I decided to search for an actualiced engine and proceed to download (http://www.yamagi.org/quake2/). There, 2 hour later Im happy like a child. This is the mark of a awesome game. Its not nostalgia, Its pure gaming gold that can keep you going even 22 years later like nothing. Its the music, the pacing, the crude but efective gameplay. Its a jewel.
