Gotta be one of the worst blunders . . .
This is one of the first games to ever destroy a beloved franchise. Completely missing the fun and "one more turn" feeling of Masters of Orion II, it plays more like an Excel spreadsheet than a 4x game, and it looks a whole lot worse. Want a better time? Get out your dusty Commodore 64 and play Reach For The Stars instead.

Crushed my hopes and dreams
While the Mods have actually made this game playable it still is a tragedy and should never be bought at $10. I'm not sure that I would play it if it was offered for $1.

Fun if your a fan.
To much trash talk on it but it plays far better then the first, More so in MP. The strongest point of the game is the combat. No longer do you have 20-40 min turns on the hardest difficulty. The battles happen fast and are fun to watch. The only flaws the game has is the lack of balance for missile ships and that it never let go of the lower aspects of MOO2.

Why GOG? Why?
This game is an abomination... a perfect example of soulless, visionless, fun-less game making. It was half unfinished when sold, and subsequent patches did little to polish this turd. Stay far, far away. It's neither fun nor deep. Why would GOG tarnishing its excellent catalogue with this crap?
