Can't recommend

Legacy of Kain Defiance remastered is a very good remaster and release. I recommend buying that instead. This collection includes LoK Ascendance which is a terrible game at best. Do yourself a favor and skip it. You can also see my review for it under its respective store page.

Stay away from this bundle

This is a terrible deal, because only 1 of the 2 games in this bundle is any good. They know they won't sell Ascendance well, because it's a terrible game with a woefully written story and weak gameplay (and graphical style) that everyone disliked for a LoK game, and all the OG fans (like me) absolutely abhor it (and the comic book it's based on) with the passion of a betrayed Hylden Lord. So what do the Game Company Corpos do? Because they think they're smart, they create a bundle and call it "Heart of Darkness" - great name - and try to sneak their crap game in there, along with the brilliant Legacy of Kain Defiance. Do yourself a favor (and everyone else, mind you) and buy yourself Legacy of Kain Defiance Remastered by itself. Juuuust to make it clear to this company what it is that we actually want and like.... in case the toxic positivity crew and Yes-men and Yes-women working there, cannot convince themselves that they made anything good or worthy of bearing the Legacy of Kain title. Edit: check out my review of Ascendance on its game page, where I (and others) go into all the reasons we dislike the game.
