Killing Time (Classic) will be granted to you as a GIFT with the purchase of Killing Time: Resurrected!

    Welcome To The Conway Estate!

Nightdive Studios and Ziggurat Interactive have teamed up to bring back this sophisticated shooter laced with gallows humor and visual violence to bestow mayhem to all! Puzzle solving and strategic thinking are placed at a premium. The visceral violence is complemented by paranormal graphics and a super(natural) storyline.

Set in the early 1930s, Killing Time: Resurrected casts you as a student, studying the cryptic world of Egyptology, who finds themselves trapped in the estate of wealthy heiress Tess Conway. A ritual to bestow eternal life conducted by Ms. Conway backfires and her high-society friends vanish without a trace. It’s up to you to find and destroy the mystical Egyptian Water-Clock to undo its curse and face a legion of super(natural) horrors.

The remastered edition of Killing Time: Resurrected features toggleable high-resolution character artwork/sprites from the original 3DO and PC versions of the game, upscaled environmental texturing, smoother gameplay, more responsive controls, and expanded control and key-bind settings.

    Killing Time: Resurrected Key Features:

     • Immerse Yourself in 4K Resolution, 144 FPS, Anti-Aliasing and Upgraded/New 2D Screens and Menu art.

    • Face off against enemies from both 3DO and PC for the first time, utilizing weapons that were once exclusive to each version.

    • Experience and interact with otherworldly apparitions through a collection of over 50 live-action video sequences. These restored specters offer vital clues about the horrific events that once occurred in the cursed Conway mansion. Do you have what it takes to survive and uncover the mystery?

    • Enjoy a full 360 view, allowing you to look up, down, and all around. The three-dimensional island features both indoor and outdoor areas, brimming with intricate details that capture the essence of the haunting and distinctive 1930s atmosphere.

    • Explore over 45 killing zones with hundreds of enemies and rooms sprawling across the vast estate.

    • Discover at your own risk unearthed cut content, including the pool house, shipwreck and a variety of ancient artifacts.

    • A fright-fest for the true aficionado of first-person corridor mayhem, enjoy continuous gameplay with no load time between areas, and much more!

    Fantastic Old-School Remake

Killing Time was one of my favorite games on the 3DO console. This remastered version blends the PC version’s level layout with the 3DO version’s enemy and weapon sprites, now in HD. The PC version allows players to explore both the entire island and the house, while the 3DO version was limited to the house. I remember playing it on the 3DO, where it ran at less than 15 frames per second, with cumbersome controls. Thankfully, this remaster greatly improves gameplay, controls, graphics, and frame rate. For those unfamiliar, Killing Time is an open-world first-person shooter with no loading screens. Unlike Doom, the levels are interconnected, gradually revealing mysteries through interactions with the ghosts of the island’s cursed inhabitants. The unique atmosphere, combined with distinctive visuals and music, creates a haunting experience. The gameplay is fast-paced, featuring a variety of visually striking enemies, secrets, and puzzles. Its Metroidvania-style progression means certain areas remain locked until you find specific magical items, allowing for further exploration. The game also offers multiple endings, enhancing its replay value. Overall, Killing Time was an ambitious title, and thanks to Night Dive Studios, it’s still a blast to play today. I’m grateful for the HD graphics, smoother gameplay, and restored content that makes this the definitive version. The remaster is truly impressive, and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking an old-school classic.

    WOW Amazing...

This game is wonder.... I can't belive this..... when I was young I rember seeing this this game in EGM (Eletictoric gaming monthly) and see this game in the adveristising in the magazine and played the the 3DO version and pc port.. It was let down back while Amazing than.. the framerate was horrable and the PC version was so much different that I really didnt play it that often beside the modded version to the PC version.. This version is what I expected to be on the 3DO as I seeing it in the AD's and It plays and most of all looks like how I imagined back than... Crispy and clean and smooth.. This game I can not recommand enought for new players and the OG's of the orginal or even new comers.. I would love to see Space Hulk redone this way.. there's alot of love for this Game and it shines and shows through and through.. Great Job!!! Vary happy

Good if you have some time to kill

Pros: - rare combination of cheesy 80s horror and genuine creepy atmosphere - levels and enemies will keep surprising you - shooting monsters just feel good - catchy ost Cons: - if you don't like maze like levels of old shooters you gonna HATE this game

Another step to my Nightdive dream...

...which is a remastered version of Realms of the Haunting. I've thought of Killing Time as being a dumb cousin to ROTH (that's a compliment) and I recommend both for anyone who needs a spooky FMV cheese fix around Halloween. <3 As for Killing Time Resurrected: phenomenal work as always from Nightdive. Personally I think it's a must-play for anyone who loves 2.5D shooters and FMV games alike. Solid B-plus from me.

    NOW It SHINES!

One of the troubled results of the short FMV era, and rated one of the 'worst' for years, the original 'Killing Time' over time was found to be glitchy, but worth the tweaking and not so bad by many who played this. There are community mods and fixes available, as well; I began playing it myself a few years ago: NOW we have the 'Resurrected' (updated) version, that removes most of the issues and brings this up to date for everyone to play. This includes being able to choose PC or 3DO characters, even switching mid-game: Myself I prefer the pc version, as more 'eery' and 'realistic'. Finally, this is only a personal note, that part of the charm of the original was the OLD FMV, pixelated like the old movie style of the game itself; but it certainly looks and plays BETTER in this latest Version from Nightdive, at GOG here: HIGHLY recommended, especially for those into ghost stories, pre WWII decor and drama, and now a GOOD FPS game, and that was also AHEAD of it's time, though the platforms and systems (so coding) were not then. NOW it SHINES as it was meant to: Thanks AGAIN, GOG; and NIGHTDIVE! :-)
