Jazz 2 Plus mods Jazz Jackrabbit 2 (1998) to add countless features and bug fixes—from the game-crashing to the incredibly obscure!—to Single Player, Multiplayer, and level editing.
Rather than impose our gameplay vision on you or break backwards compatibility, Jazz 2 Plus adds tools to every part of the game so you can create new Jazzy experiences for yourself. For example, level designers can use death pits, new textured backgrounds, 32-bit graphics, and Jazz 2 Plus's scripting language. Multiplayer ("Party Mode") is expanded with eleven new gamemodes, plus fixes and features for the old ones. Console commands (and other menu options) let you enable gamemodes, weapons, spectators, emoji, mouse aim, and more.
Jazz 2 Plus comes with about 25 fanmade single player levels in the "Home Cooked Levels" menu. That includes two big episodes with fanmade graphics, and five levels enhanced with our scripting language! To get even more levels, check out the Downloads section at jazz2online.com, and then extract the ZIP contents into your Jazz 2 Plus folder! And then start thinking about designing your own...
This page previews about 700 highlights from JJ2's decades of multiplayer maps, but your best starting point may be joining an existing online server. Currently you'll find the most players playing around evening time in Europe, especially on weekends.
