Good idea, buggy demo

The game is trying to be a DUSK version of Vaporum or Legend of Grimrock. That's fine and DUSK's horror setting and oppressive atmosphere actually works very well for this. This demo is however a bit buggy. I played this on Linux Mint 23 and it only took a few minutes for a graphical glitch to manifest that made the environment go completely black while various objects where still visible. Can't say if this bug is present on Windows as I have no way of testing that version.

I enjoyed playing this very much and look forward to the full release. Tense, stimulating, and interesting. Maybe I'm a newbie in the space, but I really liked it!

Too different..?

I wanted to like this demo. I am fan of turn-based strategy games and and I started to develop a taste fo the "boomer shooter" games like Dusk. But somehow, I feel underwhelmed by this demo. The developrs did get the atmosphere right, but by implementing the turn-based system in a sequal to a fast-paced game feels like being caught in a giant floor of glue after running through a paintball arena on fire. Doesn't mean that turn-based gameplay can't work with combat mechanics. Fight in Tight Spaces and its dungeon-themed sequal, Knights in Tight Spaces, did make this type of gameplay addictive, but they both encourage strategic thinking when eliminating enemies, rewarding the players with flashy fight scenes. I hope that the developers can make their project work, just that I don't have high hopes for this one.

It has potential but needs work.

I Know this game is trying to be a tabletop like game but why is there a point system to aim a weapon? why not just use mouse controls as a pointer instead of using it just as a trigger while still having to use arrow keys to move around the room? both of these mechanics makes gameplay annoying, it made me stop playing and I really want to like this game. I like the premise and the art but if I can't use the mouse to move around it gets frustrating. Unless theres a setting that makes that possible that I didn't see I tried every adjustment but it would be better if the character could move with the mouse.
