Very charming indie city builder

Even though graphics are not the best, City Tales has a lot of charm. It's just the game that you play to take it easy, without too much pressure put on you. It kinda reminds me of Anno where you develop your settlements in your pace, with a very simplistic economy. No need to build any complicated chain of production. Just build a farm/mine/tavern, kickstart it with your followers, wait until they automatize it and... you're good to leave it as it is. I highly recommend it for those who don't expect too much of a depth in city building. Also the game runs pretty well on Linux. No issues or hiccups. A Windows-like experience ;)

Too Many Issues

Just requested a refund on this, for a few reasons... 1. It wouldn't keep my chosen resolution, kept reverting to default, when booting-up the game and again when starting a new game, or continuing. 2. Seems to be poorly optimised right now, takes quite some time to even boot-up. 3. No UI Scaling at all and given the resolution doesn't want to change, difficult to set things any better. Spec: Ryzen 9 9950X3D 32GB DDR5 RAM Radeon 9070 XT 16GB GDDR6 Windows 11 Running the game from SSD May be worth a try at a later date, if things improve, but for me... Not right now.

Relaxing city builder

A fun city builder! It's no stress and something I play when I like to unwind. There's not a lot of difficulty here so if you're looking for a challenge, you may not enjoy. I find it to be a great cozy game!
