The demo has, as of writing, just been released and it plays much like Brigador from 2016 - take that as you will. Much like the original, and taking place several months after the events of the Brigador Killers novel (which I highly recommend reading or listening to on audiobook) you play as a series of assassins looking to get revenge on the people that massacred and demolished your homeworld of Novo Solo for nothing more than profit and fame. If the first game was all about the rebels of a corrupt regime being as bad as their oppressors than this one clearly settles on the revengers of the victims being just as bad as the original Brigadors while doing very shady things to get what they want. This intriguing story is mixed with new gameplay - inventory management, reloading, crouching and cover mechanics really make the player feel both more grounded and less, well, of a tank than the original Brigador's gameplay loop. Still proudly showing off it's love of 90s jank, this one has been on my radar for years. If it drops on GOG it's a Day 1 purchase, no questions asked.

Demo contains two campaigns called OBSTACLE 1 and THE GARAGE. OBSTACLE 1 introduces the mechanics with some short narrative beats that takes about 15 minutes to complete. THE GARAGE is a sandbox focused on deploying on increasingly difficult missions to acquire arsenal upgrades, vehicles, parts and weapons that can take several hours to fully complete.

 

Isometric insurgent simulator. Fight on foot and in vehicles, build and steal a private arsenal and bring the war home to the businessmen who started it all in this continuation of the Brigador saga.

 

 

You are a member of Team Anchor, deployed to the SNC homeworld to make them pay for what they did.

 

 

Get around Mar Nosso on foot, or go loud against local forces with your own armor.

 

 

  • Acquire and fire 30 firearms, from Nossian Corvid zipguns to the latest in man-portable Spacer tech.
  • Upgrade your arsenal by finding different combat rigs.
  • Salvage vehicles for parts to fabricate new tools of destruction in your base.
  • Mount weapons to your new creations and deploy with them.
  • Drive around rich detailed sprite environments in vehicles like clapped-out sedans, tanks or bipedal mechs.
  • Listen to an original soundtrack scored by acclaimed musician Makeup And Vanity Set.
  • Disrupt the corporate control of Mar Nosso by killing Brigadors.

A good start.

Very rough presentation due to the abundance of programmer art and UI jank, but very fun to play when you aren't dealing with inventory management headaches.

I like it

I think it has potential. Like Postal 1 without the nonsense edgy for edgy sake, swapped for Brigador dystopian revolutionary tech universe themes. With vehicles from Brigador. This might be matter of taste but it just seem bit too fast honestly. For me it seems like game wants to be played tacticaly. But game is so darn fast you cannot keep up so all the tactics goes right out the window all ending up as the chaotic carnage. EDIT : never mind game has a speed slider :-) They thought of everything.

good but with problems

ui is very janky and unintuitive, no load/unload all button, really bad boring intro chapter with corny dialogue and ugly looking character portraits that is also unskippable, aim locking mechanic is weird and janky too, really nice prop work and gun feedback, i hope you guys add more vehicles and weapons from the original game, looking forward for the full game!!!1!11
