The Mainframe is lost, and you might be the only person still able to fight the MegaCorps. Lucky you! Your mission: dismantle capitalism one computer server at a time.

 

 

Data is currency, money, moola 🤑 The MegaCorps have too much info on me, you, and everyone. You’ll be taking it back. After all, progs aren’t cheap!

 

 

Progs are powers, and the MegaCorps control them all. You'll be stealing their code, and using it against them. Expect consequences.

 

 

You didn’t think the MegaCorps were going to let you reach the Mainframe without a fight, did you? The cyberstakes are high. Get disconnected too many times, and your mission starts from scratch.

 

 

The Big Three’s defenses are strong, Hacker, but you can be stronger. Pick up new tricks on every run, use the MegaCorps' progs to change the world, and find that Mainframe!

868-BACK is officially supported on Windows, Linux, macOS.

Does 868-BACK have DRM?

Extremely compelling

Michael Brough has a reputation and cult following for his concentrated form of roguelikes. I'm only just dipping my toe into his games, so can't compare this to the rest. But I can say that this is excellent. Small grids and short 'rounds' mean there's no wasted time, you're always making important decisions. At the same time, the larger strategy component of runs in this game keeps me playing for hours at a time. I can see this potentially supporting hundreds of hours of play. The tactics are so rich with so much to consider yet elegant and easy to learn.

A real hidden roguelike gem

It seems to have the size of a puddle at first, but it's as deep as an ocean. Incredible music, unique artystyle and clear presentation. Competes at the highest level and is worth the full price.
