The sequel to "SOLASTA: Crown of the Magister" is shaping up to be a bigger and better game in every possible way.
The world map will allow free exploration, letting us travel across hex‑based regions with potential encounters—both combat‑focused and story‑driven—on each one.
The voice acting is also getting a significant upgrade, as the developers confirmed they are working with well‑known voice actors such as Ben Starr and Amelia Tyler.
It will be the first official D&D game to use the D&D 2024 rules (the previous title used the 2014 rules) and will introduce multiclassing, offering even more ways to customize our four characters.
Little is known about the plot for now, but based on the developer diaries (and the demo), we can assume that the southern continent of Neokos will feature a new folk called the Siklas, the story will involve the priesthood of the goddess Maraike, a villain called Shadwyn, and we will have several factions to support as the main plot unfolds.
The demo is available for anyone who wants to try the game, but keep in mind that it runs on the D&D 2014 ruleset.
Overall, can't wait to get this game on GOG!
