I was gifted Return to Krondor, along with a number of other CDs for PC games I had never heard of, for Christmas one year as a kid. One day when I was bored I decided to give this game a try, and I was hooked from the first battle, which was a result of entering a random building in the first area. The story is what started my interest into the fantasy genre of books, the characters add to the plot and help immerse the player into the world, the voice acting still feels pretty solid even today, and I wanted to explore as much of the world as the game would let me. When I went to play it again over a decade later, I found out one of my old CDs had a scratch on it and thankfully I was able to purchase it through GOG. I am glad this gem of a game was available both legally and in a playable state, and I hope GOG sees fit to preserve this work of art.
