i downloaded this game as abandonware and i was surprised how deep the melee combat is, its just incredible and i would like a modern patch for newer systems, maybe a patch to be able to use a joystick like in the PlayStation 2 version pls, preserve this one, its amazing

I watched my dad play this as a kid and as I grew up I was OBSESSED with it and the combat to the point I got it for PC, PS2, and even nabbed the community project OniX. It's wild to me this is from Bungie, I wish someone would bring it back.

This game had some of the most awesome hand to hand combat and controls I've ever played. The game was a bit rushed so some of the levels could have used a bit more TLC, but honestly this game is still fantastic all the way through. Memorable characters, voice acting and action. A hidden gem.

I know there was a PC version of this game. I never have gotten to play it but I would love to experience this piece of Bungie history, Marty O'Donnell's music when it was so different. I managed to hear the music on Bandcamp before it got delisted. Would just love to give this game a good try. Since I do not have a PlayStation, this would be great on GOG!

This. What an amazing game with a great story -- only downside was that it looked like a couple of levels were cut near the end which skipped story parts. Combat was ground breaking and unique with their mix of martial arts melee combat. One of the few games I've ever played though entirely. It would be fantastic to go back and play it again -- this time sharing it with my sons. And be sure to make the GoG Dream release available for macOS, like the original game was!

Oh! My! God! This game is a BLAST. It came out in 2001 but still feels frest to this day. I would love see more people appreciating this game, but unfortunately for now it is really hard for an unexperienced PC user to do. So, this would be nice if we had this game here, available to buy.

J'ai encore plein de souvenirs de ce jeu et j'ai même encore ce jeu dans ma collection. Bien sûr impossible d'y jouer, il n'est pas reconnu par les systèmes d'exploitation actuel . S'il pourrait revivre, je crois que beaucoup l'aimerais

oh yes ONI I love this game I still have my original pc cd rom and the ps2 one, what I liked a lot about this game was the fighting style and the anime design, please bring it to GOG I would love to play it again.

During my early teenage years i was a huge sucker for cyberpunk anime stuff (and to be honest, i still am). And while those kinds of games were plentiful on consoles, my family couldn't afford those, so as a low budget PC gamer, Oni was there for the rescue. I loved the vibe, felt nostalgic (you could tell the devs were fans of 80s OVAs), a bit liminal, thus misterious. This game captured my heart for a lifetime.

FreelancerEight hundred years prior to the start of our story, bitter conflict divided all of mankind. A handful of colonists struck out on their own to begin anew - far away from the Earth and its turmoil. Several ships were launched with enough equipment and supplies to give the hundreds onboard a fighting chance - but since the area around far-off Sirius had never been surveyed, no one really knew what to expect. What they found was a new frontier of free-flowing natural resources, unexplored territories, great wonders and lurking dangers. Each ship, representing the clusters of people and their earthly place of origin, settled into different parts of the galaxy pre-selected by their ship-board computer to give them the best chance of survival. Life was hard in the beginning, but over the 800 years the different colonies prospered and expanded their territories, claiming more and more systems for their own. Survival and propagation eventually led to growth and profit as each of the colonies developed specialties and fostered commerce. As the colonies grew and time passed their connections with their roots on Earth dwindled and they lost their memories of the conflicts of the past. Soon their attention was dominated by new, more immediate conflicts. Feelings of lost ancestral connection spurred anachronism in the look of the great cities, and created a somewhat distorted image of each colony's cultural heritage. In the ever-expanding outer edge of the territories, frontier lawlessness prevailed. The Houses: Each shipboard colony that left Earth carried some memory of its origins in its name. The Liberty carried Americans, The Bretonia flew from The United Kingdom and surrounding territory, The Kusari from Asia, and the Rheinland launched with Germanic cargo. As each ship settled and colonies began to expand, they knew little about each other and their advancing development. Finally, little by little, the individual colonies found each other and began to set up trade routes to link their systems for commerce and solidarity. Today, with each colony firmly rooted in its respective corner of the galaxy, the colonies rely heavily on each other for trade and industry but also compete for resources and new territories in the Border Worlds. The colonies mandate member governments in "The New Alliance" within the Sirius sector. To control conflicts, each colony has forged alliances and treaties with others as they have grown. Competition remains fierce, however. Struggles rage for supremacy in business, commerce, resources, power and control. There can be tenuous peace between colonies' political agendas, but the grabs for holdings constantly unsettle the volatile frontier.
