played this game a lot when i was young, i found it again last years on abandonware and replayed it again. Masterpiece , but it still has the same bugs and crashes, please GOG bring it back

This was one of my first computer games, which I played with my brother, we played like crazy exploring every secret and defeating every blacklist runner. When I grew up and discovered that it was not for sale legally in any digital store, it was an immense sadness.

Peak Need for Speed. The chases were fun and the Blacklist, the races for the cars of the Blacklist members and portion of having the luck after the race to draw the Option with the Papers to the car were really well implemented

The game was as good as it gets for arcade racing. Fantastic soundtrack, fantastic chases, fantastic gameplay. The game perfected and went beyond the Underground formula to become something special and legendary. There has not been a Need for Speed game since Most Wanted (2005) to capture the perfect alignment of stars that Most Wanted was.

If you ever think that few things were done right in the world, this game was one of the good things that have ever happened ever. I remember how I got more into cars by the sheer speed and adrenaline of speeding down roads, getting away from the cops, and racing the antagonist with a car of your own design, and if you want to show how good you out drift the dweeb at the finish line like a food delivery driver. This would be a good thing to preserve on GoG and would bring back my old love for racing once again.

This game is the best in the series and it’s a crime EA hasn’t ever rereleased the game and how it’s now abandonware. I first played it on OG Xbox but I heard the 360 version existed so… I blew $68 on a 360 copy… totally worth it but totally not worth it at the same time

They really, really don't make games like these anymore. The Black Box Need for Speed games have always been a cut above the rest in terms of audio, graphics technology, presentation, and most importantly -- racing. The physics in this game and many others in the series during Black Box's tenure are some of the best in the industry whether played on a gamepad or keyboard, and the police chases in this game in particular remain to be entirely unrivalled in terms of intensity and fun to this day.

This game is as old as I am. I remember playing it on my Dad's Mac, but I was saddened to find that it is no longer purchasable, therefore, I had to resort to piracy. If this were still officially on sale, I wouldn't hesitate to buy it legitimately.
