(Not really a memory since I still regularly use this and am eagerly looking forward to the new update dropping tomorrow, BUT) This game was the second thing I ever backed on kickstarter and I've always been so glad I have. It's really amazing and has allowed me to make my own maps for my Pathfinder and other campaigns that I never could have made (and sometimes couldn't have found before). Every game-master should have a copy, and I've even recommended it to a few non-GM friends who now use it as well to make maps for their own reference for stories they're writing and things like that.
Calling it "AI-powered map making software" really does it a disservice as it brings to mind all the other AI slop out there. While the program does have a function that randomly creates maps based on the guidelines you give it, where it really shines is in letting people completely build their own maps from the ground up, with multiple themes and literally thousands of assets to use, place, and modify. It lets you do interior and exterior maps, or combination indoor-outdoor maps, can do grids or hexes, straight walls or curved ones, fog/smoke/fire atmospheric effects, different times of day, etc. As of the July 2025 update (it is still being updated regularly), it will also allow multi-level maps, roofs, and more ability to scale objects, have them hovering in mid-air, etc, and the devs are still actively adding more content on a regular basis.
I don't like steam's business model and literally only got a steam account to use this specific software, so I'd love to see it available in other places so other people who don't use steam can also discover it.
