The first real rpg on the Playstation. I played this game non stopped through high school and still I found little things that I didn't notice the first play through. It has an old world charm to it. I on occasion go back to playing it. It would be great to save this game.
I have always been a huge fan of the RPG genre, so every time a new console or PC game came out, I was watching waiting for a new one. Playstation 1 when it first came out, did not have much in the way of RPGs (at first) and I had heard from a friend that there was one that launched either with the system or shortly thereafter called ^ you guess it Beyond the Beyond.
Now my friend, and many reviewers afterwards shunned this game, it did not get great reviews let me tell you! However after trying it for a few minutes I immediately fell in love with it. The story was so-so, but that wasn't what sold it for me. The graphics was stunning for its time, it was like someone took Shining Force and improved the graphics and gave it a slightly more adult edge.
Despite the naysayers and bad publicity that got unjustly slapped on this great classics name. In its way it laid the ground work for future games to build upon, like Fire Emblem etc, much like in the way it built off of games like Shining Force and Ogre Battle. So for me, this is a definite yes, I would love to revisit this game, if nothing else purely for the nostalgic factor.
Beyond the Beyond was a revolutionary RPG that set the standard for the PlayStation, offering an extraordinary level of gameplay that captivated gamers around the world. It successfully infused the nostalgic charm of Dragon Warrior-style gameplay into a contemporary console experience, making it a defining title of its time.
This game introduced me to many of the jrpg tropes that I now know and love (and lothe too). I remember how winning or looseing a fight could depend on Sampsons curse. Many are the hours I spent grinding to get one more level up so I could beat the next boss. I hope that more people have the chance to enjoy and be frustrated by this good old game.

Fable IIFable 2 is the second game in the fable series by Lionhead Studios, it is an open world role-playing game. It has a simple story line where the hero needs to save Albion from the evil Lord Lucian by collecting together the other three heroes to defeat him. Interactive cut-scenes are a large part of the game however the main character never speaks and all dialogue is uncontrolled.
The game features a large variety of game play and freedom, allowing a player to shape the world around and the characters appearance and moral standing based on decisions throughout the game. Fable: The Lost ChaptersFable was expanded and rereleased as Fable: The Lost Chapters for Xbox and Windows PC platforms in September 2005. The game was later ported to Mac OS X by Robosoft Technologies and published by Feral Interactive on 31 March 2008.
