by FromSoftware, Agetec, Crave Entertainment
Themes:Action
Game modes:Single player, Multiplayer, Split screen
Story:The genuine sequel to the original Armored Core. Thrown into the world of AC mechs, you must complete the objectives set for you by a range of different companies, each with a hefty pay packet attached. If the mission is completed, the money goes towards upgrades and repairs to your mech. The collection of items to upgrade your mech is fully stocked with weapons, defense systems, rocket packs and guidance systems to increase accuracy and speed. Certain missions require a particular upgrade for the mission to be completed correctly, so spending the cash wisely is important to your career. Once your mech is ready for battle, you can also take on a friend in arena mode, where one-on-one battles rage on for as long as you wish in huge outdoor areas.Show more

This was my introduction to mecha games in the year 2000. I remember my cousins got it. They couldn't beat werehound, because they would kneel with a chain gun. I tried using large rockets and flew around and took him down. My favorite weapon is the energy machine gun, it looks so cool and the particle beams are so cool and the sound it makes is so fitting. After I played it I asked for an armored core game and got 3 for christmas.
This is my personal favorite Armored Core. Leos Klein & The Frighteners for some reason are just make me loves this game so much. Also, love that you can clear the arena before jumping into the story so you can just use whatever new parts become available as the story progresses without having to worry about money.

Never had the chance to play the previous Armored Core titles, and given that only Armored Core 6 is available to purchase online I'd love have a chance to experience the older games.
