I played the second installment of this triology, ( third installment lost to suits who couldn't see the dream of this world completed) and the story was incredible and the world was mesmerizing. With outfits to match the worlds we were in, I can only imagine the great foundation that is this game. I would love to save this game from the unfairness of the void. American McGee deserved better.
The game has an unforgettable style and its so eerie while obviously being familiar. It is an amazing albeit janky experience which already runs on modern machines quite well.
This game was a once in a lifetime trip down a dark and terrifying rabbit hole. My brother used to play this for me before he died and this game sticks out as one of the most memerable impressions that gaming had on my early life. My brother beat the game one night while I was sleeping and I NEVER GOT TO SEE THE ENDING! I would LOVE to be able to play it, remember my brother, and see the ending my brother forever has denied me hahaha
A dark fantasy reimagination of Alice´s Wonderland twisted by the tormented memories of the girl; with a good story, great imagery, good ambience, it deserves a chance if you´re looking for an experience. The first game in the franchise is harder to get then it´s sequel, it´ll be great to get the this available (along with the sequel: Madness Returns) on modern PCs without DRM; maybe the soundtrack and art book as well? If I´m no too greedy.

This game changed my brain chemistry. I first discovered it on YouTube watching a youtuber by the name of Helloween4545, and this was a WHILE back, and I was just... oh man. A dark, grungy Alice in Wonderland at a time in my life where I wanted to be even a little edgy was just SO up my alley. The sequel is so good in its own right, but the ORIGINAL is UNTOUCHABLE. The music is so unbelievably good, the weapons are phenomenal and all of them feel like they matter, and all of the characters are so interestingly designed. The areas are so cool and so fun to look at, and the game is an experience. The writing, too, is incredibly witty and feel exactly like you'd immediately think a Dark Alice in Wonderland would sound like; unhunged, a little manic, witty, intelligent, and insane... yet always with a hint of something you're trying to understand. Looking through the pictures is such a treat haha. I loved this game so much, it became my whole identity for a while, lmao. I had the music on my iPod, I found the costume in stores and nearly shrieked and then proceeded to wear it at EVERY single cosplay event, and I even found and purchased a physical copy on eBay just to have. The booklets were SO incredible. Absolutely required for any release of this. The creator- American McGee's Alice- and his wife sell bunnies based around the White Rabbit's design in this game, or his stuffed animal design. I have the Anxiety Rabbit, because it's stinkin' cute and... I have anxiety, lmao. There's all sorts of other Rabbits they have, including the design of her stuffed rabbit from either this one or the sequel, I'm blanking a teensie bit. So good. This can be played if you have Madness Returns on... uh, EA's new thing, Origin? EA Play? Whatever it is, my copy of Madness Returns there also came with the original game. It keeps crashing at a certain point, though, so I'd KILL to have it here, on GOG.

This is easliy one of the most brilliant artistic acheivements in video-games from the time. Great and creative game from start to finish, would love to see it on here. It's also missing the sequel, which doesn't run as well on Steam.

Snagged this off the shelf (ballpark 2002) based on the front/back cover art and screenshots. Best $5.00 software I may have ever grabbed! It's levels, it's puzzles, it's a whole different look/take on a great twist in a classic story. The industrial music fan in me was glad to see something that was dark and twisted but wasn't mall-goth aesthetic. Mad props to the following in no specific order: The graphics design team, thanks for bringing some steam/dieselpunk into Wonderland. The Cheshire Cat, glad to see we have similar taste in ear piercings and cryptic riddles. The rabbit - I say this with nothing but love after 45 years: Less speed is more speed. You'll thank me the morning after. The soundtrack - Dude! Just dude! That should have won many awards that didn't even exist at that point in time. GOG - Do everyone a favor, bring this out on platform and let everyone who hasn't had the chance to immerse themselves in this world enjoy it as much as some of us old heads do/did. ]
This game helped be battle depression and the thoughts of unaliving myself when I was in high school. Seeing Alice fight off her demons on her own helped me be able to fight off my own demons. Besides the gorgeous graphics, and the unforgettable soundtrack (that I still listen to today), this game is special because of how it helped me out of the darkest time of my life. This game deserves to be remembered, celebrated, and available on GOG to be enjoyed by future gamers. Don't let this game fade into gaming history, give it a place on GOG.

I remember how I discovered this game back in the day: On some games magazine disc was a demo of it. Remember those? The demo was short, but gave sucha good impression of the game, that I bought it afterwards. I havent regretted it, the eerie surreal design, the themes and the dark tones are totally coming together. And it sure influenced my drawings from back then.So I tried copying one of the symbols on Alice' clothes. Also I bought, years later, a replica of the vorpal Blade. Ordered it via a comic store, which called me while I was at work "your knife for robbing a bank arrived" were his words. And yes, I can remember it after all these years. I really hope it finds a way over on GOG. So many others can experience the great and dark title of the past. And getting inspired by it.
Those games also need your vote!

Freelancer
FreelancerEight hundred years prior to the start of our story, bitter conflict divided all of mankind. A handful of colonists struck out on their own to begin anew - far away from the Earth and its turmoil. Several ships were launched with enough equipment and supplies to give the hundreds onboard a fighting chance - but since the area around far-off Sirius had never been surveyed, no one really knew what to expect. What they found was a new frontier of free-flowing natural resources, unexplored territories, great wonders and lurking dangers. Each ship, representing the clusters of people and their earthly place of origin, settled into different parts of the galaxy pre-selected by their ship-board computer to give them the best chance of survival. Life was hard in the beginning, but over the 800 years the different colonies prospered and expanded their territories, claiming more and more systems for their own. Survival and propagation eventually led to growth and profit as each of the colonies developed specialties and fostered commerce. As the colonies grew and time passed their connections with their roots on Earth dwindled and they lost their memories of the conflicts of the past. Soon their attention was dominated by new, more immediate conflicts. Feelings of lost ancestral connection spurred anachronism in the look of the great cities, and created a somewhat distorted image of each colony's cultural heritage. In the ever-expanding outer edge of the territories, frontier lawlessness prevailed. The Houses: Each shipboard colony that left Earth carried some memory of its origins in its name. The Liberty carried Americans, The Bretonia flew from The United Kingdom and surrounding territory, The Kusari from Asia, and the Rheinland launched with Germanic cargo. As each ship settled and colonies began to expand, they knew little about each other and their advancing development. Finally, little by little, the individual colonies found each other and began to set up trade routes to link their systems for commerce and solidarity. Today, with each colony firmly rooted in its respective corner of the galaxy, the colonies rely heavily on each other for trade and industry but also compete for resources and new territories in the Border Worlds. The colonies mandate member governments in "The New Alliance" within the Sirius sector. To control conflicts, each colony has forged alliances and treaties with others as they have grown. Competition remains fierce, however. Struggles rage for supremacy in business, commerce, resources, power and control. There can be tenuous peace between colonies' political agendas, but the grabs for holdings constantly unsettle the volatile frontier.

Black & White 2
Black & White 2In the game, the player takes the role of a god called from the void (nothingness) to help those who invoked them. However, the player is not an omnipotent style god, but rather a god who rises and falls with his believers and the player must help develop their nature according to their good or evil desires. The player also has a creature, their physical representation in the world, which takes the form of an anthropomorphic ape, lion, wolf, turtle, cow, or tiger. Its physical manifestation can grow to an immense size, and adopt a good or evil persona separate of the player's. They develop their character as the player rewards or punishes their actions. In addition to the god simulation and city-building elements introduced in the original Black & White, Black & White 2 also features elements of real-time strategy gameplay, with the addition of controllable warfare and fighting units.
