Polish gaming history joins GOG – meet Robbo, Electro Man, Heartlight, Citadel Remonstered, and more.Some releases feel like milestones. This is one of them.
Today, we're adding seven games to GOG – five of them joining the
GOG Preservation Program – and nearly all of them are available for free. They're Polish classics, some among the earliest games ever made in Poland, and having them here, preserved, playable, and yours to keep forever, genuinely means something.
Meet Robbo – one of Poland's first digital heroesIf you grew up in Poland in the late 80s or early 90s, you know Robbo. If you didn't – you're about to. Created by Janusz Pelc in 1989, Robbo is a puzzle-action game that became a cultural phenomenon, spawning sequels, remakes, and a fanbase that never really went away.
Today, we're adding three versions of Robbo to GOG: Robbo (Atari version) – the original, emulated and preserved
Adventures of Robbo – the beloved sequel
Robbo Millennium – the modern remake, available to purchase
Having all three on GOG simultaneously – the emulated Atari original, the first PC port, and the Millennium remake – is something we're genuinely proud of. It's a complete picture of one of Poland's most important gaming characters, and it matters for Polish digital cultural heritage.
But at the beginning we said 7 games, didn't we? Well, four more games are joining GOG today, all part of the GOG Preservation Program and all for free: Electro Man – a kinetic action platformer that pushed the limits of what Polish PC gaming could do
Heartlight – a puzzle game that earned international recognition, published by Epic MegaGames
Citadel Remonstered – a Doom-style first-person shooter initially made for Amiga. The refreshed version joins the GOG Preservation Program today
MaSzyna – a free, open-source Polish train simulator with a devoted community that has kept it alive and evolving for years. A genuine piece of Polish gaming culture worth having in your library
