Good work ...
Great work GOG, you guys turned this business into something more than just a business!
I know this is a business venture but you're also doing the medium of the video game a great service by keeping all these older gems easily accessible.
I didn't know what GOG really was until I happened to see Crusader No Remorse on sale and couldn't pass it up. I'm really impressed how quickly I was in the game, with no problems or hang-ups. It's even better than Steam, and ten times better than extra DRM 'services' that everyone's tacking on now.
I love that when I click the icon I play the game. Period. Thanks CPR. You've earned a fan.
Releasing the some of the greatest games ever, making them cheap and accessible, and fighting against tyranny (at least sort of) all make GOG totally awesome and well-worth pouring your hard-earned money into (for their hard-earned gain, of course).
I love being able to play old games that otherwise would not run well on my modern system. Thanks for giving me the chance to catch up on the great titles I missed! Some of my favorite games I would have never known about or played if not for GOG.
I hope that GOG will continue its work for as many years as possible and deliver even more fun Good Old Games.
This site is great because I get to play the old classics that I love without having to fiddle with my computer.
You're great! i had lost so many old games that i loved, and in these two years i've been on gog i recovered almost all of them, plus got so many new (or missed) great games, at very reasonable prices, so thank you and i hope the site will grow and be as successfull as possible!
I'm clad a friend told me about this site will be getting more games in the near future AAA+
Been a member since 2011 and I must thank you for not only making this site, but to all whom made it possible. There is an array and vast selection of '90's PC games here and these are and have been fond memories and experiences while growing up. Thank you GOG team and all else for hosting and bringing them to this site. While my introductory and roots to PC games and gaming began in 1992, it's also nice to see and appreciate in these modern times that one truly can return to the sense of nostalgia.
I absolutely love GOG, it is my go-to site for gaming. Excellent work, everyone!
Buy them cake
GOG is the best! Score out of 10? Over 9000!!!!
My number one choice is GOG.com, best digital gaming distribution system. 11 out of 10 stars.
Best digital distribution site ever. Of all time.
It's nice to know that not every company in the game industry has a "Profit by any means possible" mentality, and that's what I like about GOG.
I thankyou much GOG team for all the awesome games that I can buy and that do not need a cd ! That is so convient just to install , click an icon and PLAY.
I like the games that have cluebooks and maps provided with them too.
It really is very GREAT that I can play so many of these games on windows xp , then windows 7 that I upgraded to.
Thank you again GOG .
Best Regards,
Dave
Keep it up GOG!
Good place to find REALLY beautifull games, is really a pity going into a gamestor with hundreds of titles and quitting because there's nothing really interesting, but on GOG I can see lots of titles I might try one day or another, just so beatifull finding again games of my childhood, maybe really very good titles that I just forgot and now I can even play them again Thanks!
(and by the way since I love witcher I'm more than pleased to indirectly keep your financed to produce THE next gen RPG: witcher 3) ;-) bye and thanks
My brother introduced me to this site last Christmas, and it was the best gift I got, haha. Not only do I get to pick up games I've been wanting to play again for years, I get to play all these games I saw in PC Games Magazine back in the day but never got a chance to play. Awesome job, GOG team!
Great job with bringing back some old memories to us guys. I'm even more happy since you decided to make some of them compatible with OS X. I can finally play them once again, without cumbersome Wine/Crossover/etc configuration.
Soon my kids will be old enough to start playing games, it will be awesome to be able to show them what their dad played when I was young :)
Thank you and please keep the games coming :)
For those of you who have said: I thank them with my wallet!
Do you thank you mother for cooking you a meal or do you say: Am scoffing it down isn't that enough?
Think about it... sometimes its nice to feel apreciated.
Thanks for a fantastic site, phenomenal service, and (most importantly) some Good Old Games! <3
you are great guys.keep the good work cause i will keep buying
i haven't even bought a game yet from you guys but yet i appreciate what you are doing for the true gaming community, gaming industry these days are producing more commercialized games with frustrating DRM and fail remakes which are not even former shadows of their original, if i were a rich guy i would invest money for you GOG,keep it going guys, you make the world a better place for gamers !
Glad to be a part of this. :) Thanks for bringing us the games we used to play!
Go on... its on everyone's lips... lets just say it... WE LOVE YOU GOG...
This should be the business model of gaming's future. Buy the game at a reasonable price then do what you like with it, trust that your customers aren't thieves, if you build it they will come, etc. etc. In all seriousness, this business deserves more recognition even more so than steam.
Really appreciate their work, as well as finding newer games, thanks to them I'm able to play some old favourites that would not otherwise work (or would requite serious tweaking to work) on my current computer :) I come here mostly for the games, although DRM free is nice too :)
As soon as i saw GOG on the web i knew it was something good, but to be honest its great!!!! I apsolutely love this site, great prices, no drm, support is great, games work nice!!! Keep up the good work.
It was really nice to find GOG.com and i would like to give a big thanks to the team behind such a great company. I managed to find one of my favorite games on this site. Sid meiers alpha centauri. Big thanks to them for having great drm free games.
I think it's great what the team is doing. Its horrible to see how we the gamers are getting treated with DRM just because some out there that abuse it. This site gives us gamers so much. Cheaper games, the chance to play older and much harder games to buy, extras and lots more. Thank guys! Please keep up the hard work.
I came for Fallout 1&2, and stayed for the ocean of other awesome games. GOG, and the GOG team are just...amazing.
"Video games were better before." That is what I would say if there was no company such as GOG.com and CD Projekt, which do care about gamers and their will. Greetings from France
GOG... Good Old Games.... whatever you call yourselves you are pure genius. Thanks for all the hard work you do to bring us moments in time long forgotten not to mention memories we are going to have from now on. :)
One of the things I appreciate about GOG is all the neat little extras that each game has such as soundtrack, manuals, wallpapers, and anything relevant to the original game. I also feel more relaxed and casual about gaming here than with Steam where any one of my purchases could disappear. Thanks for providing with classic gamer with a legal means to obtain the oldies.
GOG IS PURE LOVE! you are heroes. keep up the good work ;) we love you
I''m commander Sheppard and this is my favourite website on the internets.
GO GOG-----Nobody on this Planet need DRM and you make it true.
Keep up the good work and stay true to your principles. You guys are one of the few businesses I actually respect and trust.
This site is one of the greatest ideas of the internet since the first Youtube "Fail" video. Thank you so much for re-uniting me with many great memories!
the gog fixed my problem with mobile forces on windows 7. im a big fan of that game. so is say "thx" for the support and hopefully you guys keep watching for new "old" games you can sell to your people :) ow. and thx for making downloads world wide availlable. i really apreciate that.
thanks guys. you're doing an amazing job of curating the past.
To all you "i buy so i thank" guys- it is truly the usual way of appreciation to ones services, but since this is not a usual team, with a not usual way of thinking, a not usual "thank you" is only usual :)
DRM-free ftw
Love gog.com! No DRM and a 'Don't be evil' mentality will ensure gog's success!
Much love for GOG! Bring on linux versions for the newer indie titles that support it! I would love to play FTL and Introversion Software titles on my linux box. (Thanks to DOSbox much of your catalog already runs in linux thankfully, for everything else WINE may work but, native support is preferred)
As long as there is GOG, I will be a happy customer. Great work, much appreciated.
Thanks, guys. Without you, a lot of titles whose plot and gameplay (but not maybe graphics) is lightyears ahead of most modern products would be forgotten; you're making a whole new generation of gamers discover the good old games. (And some good not-so-old games too). :)
