If a game is removed from gog users should be informed as well as a short explanation for the removal be given.
Not publishing or no commenting on that information leads to specualation in the forums.
I voted because this is the sort of thing GoG should be informing their costumers about. I appreciate that they let us know about XIII being removed in the forums, but not everyone visits the forums. I would have missed that post if I wasn't looking for info on another game. This is the sort of thing GoG should be posting in the front page, in the news section.
I just wanted to say that I greatly appreciate the notice that was given of the removal of XIII. Without it I would have missed the opportunity to buy it. I haven't been active on GOG long enough to know how often games are removed, but I would hate to see a game disappear without enough notice to give those who might be interested in the game the opportunity to get it. I'm sure explanations might not always be possible due to legal constraints, but anything GOG can do to assist in notification would be fantastic.
Can't vote in good faith because I think explanation is probably not possible in some cases and will lead to drama in others.
However date of removal in a list would be desirable.
yeah I agree there should be a notice. Not so much an explanation, oftentimes those are bundled in legal matters of confidentiality or otherwise may damage GOG relations with publishers. They have recently notified about XIII being taken off... but it was an easy to miss message in the forumns, that can't be right!
A lack of explanation is fine, just sticky a topic on the forum and maybe send out email notices. As much as we care about upcoming sales, we care even more about upcoming game removals!
