Continued Windows XP Support

Added byPseudoman's avatarPseudoman

Microsoft is dropping support for Windows XP, but that shouldn't mean that GOG should. For all of us who want GOG to continue keeping games Windows XP compatible, vote here!

I upgraded to Win7 a while ago, but two other computers in my home still run XP.

Haha. I love the irony of people wanting the continuation of WinXP support so they can play games in Linux. That made my day :)

Indeed! GOG please don't drop Win XP support.

I understand many of the newer titles won't run on such a system and that's fine, just please keep the support for this OS where possible.

Agreed. Not only does Windows XP support imply DirectX 9 support (which Wine needs since it doesn't do DirectX 10/11 yet) but Windows XP is the most efficient thing for me to run in VirtualBox when Wine fails for other reasons.
