Bring complete editions (expansion and all DLC included)in progress

Added byrodrolliv's avatarrodrolliv

If there's DLC available for a game, don't sell it separatelly, just make one pack with main game plus all content available at that point (GOG bosses have mentioned that's the plan, but it doesn't hurt to remind it).

+1 for Tomb Raider trilogy. I still wait for those DLCs that should be included, I already have them DRM-free with extra missions and much cheaper then on gog, so hopefully it should not be that hard.

This is a great idea but some games already have that feature, like all the Rollercoaster Tycoon games, so I think its more about the game publisher than GOG.

Alien Crossfire for Alpha Centuri,
I remember Alien Crossfire changing some of the basic game-play making it quite a different experience from the vanilla game. I would be quite disappointed to only get the modified game without the ability to play the original game as it was intended to be played.

Yes please! If the GOG versions of the original Tomb Raider trilogy had all of their expansions with them, I'd buy them straight away. Played the console versions inside and out, but I've never played the additional PC content, so if it was added, there's no way I'd not go for it.

I would love this, (would be very convenient too) especially if Theme Park World ever was to be added to GoG, then including the gold version would be perfect.

Well i hate DLC's i really liked the way things were when big expansions sold games, but this is the world we live in. So if DLC's come to GoG let them come as a complete editions with the games.

Would be good if this is done. Few games are getting a complete edition, like both neverwinter nights games. Those ones were also sold in that way in the physical form. However, some others that were sold in the disc form earlier on aren't released in that way here on gog. Dungeon Keeper Gold is an example of this, which contains both dungeon keeper and the deeper dungeons. GoG decided to only sell dungeon keeper and then the DOS version. Why not the gold version? It makes more sense to sell that one instead of an incomplete version.

Since the complaint is about complete editions. How come the Unreal Tournament 2004 ECE doesn't have the bonus disk with the editor tutorials?

That's the only reason I hold onto the physical disc.

This sounds awesome. Especially when the DLC is integral to the story. And Steam makes it hard to track down important DLC. It's all just piled into a list. You can't tell which ones are missions and which ones are just cosmetic upgrades without clicking the link and reading about it. P.I.T.A.

@skeecher This DLC was also released on other platforms like Steam for the same price, so I don't think we can blame GOG for this. Also not that the game is a piece of crap.

Says it's "in progress" Yet GoG have totally ignored the community here and released a seperate DLC for Omerta: City of Gangsters called "The Con Artist" costing $4.99 for only a 4mb download! :( It needs to be removed and bundled with the main game for those foolish enough to actually want to play it.

In order for this to make sense, it must include THE COMPLETE version. A lot of the customers here have a recollection of the games, maybe they owned them or played them in the past. One gets disappointed if one finds a modified and/or incomplete version here, whereas people are happy to find a complete version! This includes expansion packs as well as languages, subtitles, mods. I know, you're doing a great job: including manuals and desktop backgrounds, soundtracks and a fully patched version. But sometimes you forget languages, subtitles, uncensored versions… at least there should be the possibility to "re-activate" an original uncensored gameplay… How about give the buyer the choice? Make sane defaults and include all the rest anyway! Other than that: thanks for everything!

Colonization the Windows 3.1/95 version, sharper graphics and most importantly, smarter AI making the endgame more challenging and enjoyable (at least, that's what I've read), so it should really be included as a bonus, or maybe even be the "default" version.

That 's the spirit. Put an end to the shameless tactics of most companies, as of late! In older eras of gaming, after the main game, expansions came out. One time payment, everything included. Not 1, 2, 3, 5, 10 dlcs, all of which seperately sold, and after some time different and multiple compilations and combinations! GoG here is already the champion! Greatest examples? Witcher 1 and 2! Not only all DLCs in one package, but all of them FREE! And even if not in day one, later with patches! Which other company ever gifted people who bought a retail game, with its digital version and ENHANCED?!? Cd Projekt, you already have our respect.

Off the top of my head, Tomb Raider I is missing Unfinished Business, Tomb Raider II is missing Golden Mask, Tomb Raider III is missing The Lost Artifact, Dungeon Keeper is missing Deeper Dungeons, American Conquest is missing Divided Nation, Rainbow Six is missing Eagle Watch, The King's Quest I remake is missing from the King's Quest pack, The Space Quest I remake is missing from the Space Quest pack, and the original version of Police Quest is missing from the Police Quest pack, Sid & Al's Incredible Toons would have been an awesome addition to the Incredible Machine Mega Pack although I don't know if Jeff Tunnell owns the copyright to this game, So would have been the Duke It Out In D.C., Nuclear Winter and Life Is A Beach expansions for Duke Nukem 3D although these are in copyright limbo I believe. That being said, I've got to give GOG credits where it's due, more often than not GOG do a top notch job getting all them obscure expansions and DLCs for these old games, many many times I've purchased on GOG a game that I played back in the days and it's on this website that I discovered that this old game I believed I knew the ins and outs had a bunch of expansions I never heard of before. But also, a whole bunch of expansions that we cherished and treasured in our youth were really nothing more than unofficial contents and glorified shovelware published by different, now defunct companies, which only makes it more difficult for GOG to offer complete and definitive editions nowadays. But, hey, keep on doing a good job, guys, with this early Xmas present you made to the fans of Wing Commander earlier this week, I'm not abandoning hope that one day all them obscure add-ons, remakes, versions and "officially unofficial" expansions will make their way on your store and my digital gaming shelves.
