Pengwen There is an "I like this game" type thread in a game I like. Every time someone posts there, the same person abuses them. They've been doing this for two months. Being able to erase that one person might make it possible to share our enjoyment instead of being made to feel bad for being "pathetic". Erase erase erase!

Ignoramus The forum is currently nearly unreadable, with certain users constantly spamming every single thread with "funny" off-topic crap. Please implement an ignore function(or actual moderators) and sub-forums.
llirium So long as individual users have this power, and have the ability to *only* do it one at a time (as opposed to overdone ignore lists that generalize users), then I'm cool with this.

Kardwill Generally, I'm against ignore lists. Policing the posts, kicking out jerks and keeping everyone civil is the moderators' job. But since this forum has no real moderation, and no way to report openly offensive posts... voted. *sigh*

Bloodygoodgames Please. We all have our bad days, god knows I've had my moments, but if I consistently see someone being abusive or nasty, I'd much rather just not have to read anything they say. It's also the quickest way to get them to stop, when they realize nobody is even reading what they say anymore.
jsjrodman When I see (rude) posts from people who have made it completely clear on other forums that they are homophobic, racist, misogynists, you really would rather I just click ignore instead of replying to them. Mostly I just read past, but some people are so awful it can be difficult. Ignore would much more likely keep a civil forum.

ONLY those who are doing the ignoring have problems with fragments so its a problem that those wanting to ignore can solve for themselves. I very much hate the minimized posts as I've seen those on other forums. In other words, ignore doesn't affect anyone that isn't ignoring someone.
##@@##@@ Yes, this would be a nice thing to have. Some people may get a kick or a laugh out of forum drama, but I for one would rather just not see it. Also it seems strange that downrating only causes posts to be hidden for folks who are logged in. Perhaps they should be hidden by default to casual viewers and members who aren't logged in?

Nirth Tychoxi@ That's certainly a possibility but I believe that not that many people is annoyed by a large number of people at the same time. Personally there's I think 2-3 people here that piss me off, more or less. Besides, they could add an optional way to portray in the signature who you're ignoring so that person don't have to bother with quoting or falling into misunderstandings.
Tychoxi @ Nirth_90 well, the problem with that is that it goes against what a forum is! Also ,if enough people are ignoring enough people then threads will devolve into weird, schizophrenic and incoherent messes where people have no idea what other people have been discussing already!
Nirth Tychoxi@ While that is better than nothing I prefer completely ignore, it's not ignore if it says "this post is ignored because the user is on your ignore list" or something like that. Perhaps it's more advanced coding but cutting of the entire post would be swell. :)
Tychoxi while I don't really care for this I see it working if the posts of said users put in the "ignore" list all appear minimized (I mean like when a post gets too many negative points it gets "minimized" or however it may be called)
Nirth It's not the most important feature on the forum that we need right now but it's certainly welcome. Some people just don't have the right chemistry to understand each other.
##@@##@@ I'm pretty much sticking to the sales/release announcements for now. The general state of the forum isn't a place I enjoy anymore. If GOG wants a "community" then we need tools to keep it tolerable.

SirEnity The idea that you can completely ignore someone for the pettiest of reasons such as trolling or an opinion you don't agree with is ridiculous.
