GOG should even go one step further, and be a active part in "liberation" and preservation of classic games via their source code, see this connected wishes:

Arx Fatalis is an good example, Open source (and therefore patched by http://arx-libertatis.org/ ) while commercially distributed here by GOG. A win-win situation for everyone (developer, gamers, GOG)! :c)
