gior.pl Just dropping a thank you comment for actually bringing this game to GOG. Best strategy game of my youth. Although having it already downloaded from multiple sources through the years, I bought it here for the extra goodies and of course for supporting GOG for making this possible. Keep up the good work.

mjacmoses This game and Terror from the Deep need on be on GOG now. This is the holy grail of tactical computer strategy games. If Jagged Alliance 2 makes you happy with sales, XCOM Enemy Unknown for Win 7,8,10 will blow your socks off. I would buy and at least 5 friends of mine would too.
morte_ru Well, now we have openxcom.org/ it can do anything with firsrt game (you can actually bring your old ms-dos save and play it!) and get some non-final support of TFTD. And tons of mods.

Old XP machine, copied the files from disc to hard drive.
Then simply found the exe,bat file and dragged it into the dosbox.
Works perfectly. :)

Feragor Well happy not to be blasted by all over loaded security .. im a vet in XCOM enemy unknown (ufo Defence pc sucks) my first Xcom was amazing i was a virgin.. and followed by FFT .. and yes you all be right GoG have been doing great about all old games .. i loved Another World .. but its hard .. ( never now i was killed that hard and all other classics .. so what happend . Xcom started Ufo games "after math , light" those are on GoG .. but not .. what made them be there .. would be great to play Ufo: enemy unknown (defence) or terror from the deep .. why after math and after light ??

skeecher I have to agree with some of the others here. If Gamersgate has it DRM free, then there can't be much reason why it's not being sold here. Yes, there is Xenonaughts available on here now, which is supposed to be it's "spiritual successor" but it still doesn't make it X-Com.
Sabin_Stargem I hope the game comes to GOG, with OpenXcom on top of it. That would make this distribution of the game superior to Steam's offering.

ondrejkubat As I wrote in "new XCOM" request - I consider myself a true "old" 1993 XCOM/Ufo Defense veteran (I played it once every single year between 1998 and 2013), and I had lots of fun (and frustration) with UFO Aftermath and Aftershock mady by Altar. THIS GAME IS A TRUE LEGEND that deserves to be called so. Sure I do not know a thing about copyright issues, but if any game should have its place on GOG, this is The One (maybe with it clone/sequel Terror from the Deep - do not bother yourselves with Apocalypse and what followed). DosBox in small window is not the best way to play it... so please, please, pretty please, make "it" happen:)

wjm1663 this is an all time great game, and i believe there is a freeware version of it that works on modern operating systems. i have it installed and working but can't remember where i found it. it is/was on some kind of fan tribute site

HolyVision New XCOM is fantastic but it would be awesome to bring back the original and present it to gamers who didn't try that sweet game when it first came out.

Aarontu FYI re: STEAM version. The Steam version of X-COM does not use DRM. Steam installs the game on your hard drive and treats it as a Steam game, but you can simply run the game directly from its directory and bypass Steam altogether.
Tzukasa7 I wanted to pick this game up just Today actually and came here looking for it. To my Shock it wasn't available here but it IS on both gamestop Impulse AND Steam?! Why not here?!
