I don't think Blizzard will ever release their Titan for use by the masses unless of course you are willing to PAY them for it.....lol so No Steam or Gog or any other type site of this nature

In addition, I highly doubt that any of the Blizzard games will come to an other distribution channel than their own Battle.Net (so no Steam, no Origin, no UPlay and no GOG).

If you have a battle.net account, you already can download legally their older games for free there.

Blizzard is working on a remake of WarCraft 1 (and possiblty 2). I suspect they will release it when the Warcraft movie will come to the cinemas which is slated for Christmas 2015.

They mentioned that during BlizzCon 2013 in the Warcraft Movie Panel discussion.

Warcraft won't be added to GOG. If you're thinking otherwise, you're deluding yourself. There's no good reason for Blizzard to do it. So whole point is absolutely pointless and it should be removed. Period.

Blizzard will never agree to it, but I'd buy it if they did. I never did understand why they never made a digital copy of those two games and Diablo like they did with Warcraft III, Starcraft, and Diablo 2. I hate having to resort to piracy to play my favorite old games again so I'd complete my collection in a heartbeat if they ever gave me a chance.

Blizzard games will never appear on GoG... Blizz is re-releasing them as free classic games. They already did it for three ( Lost Vikings, Rock'n'Roll racing & Blackthorne).

Keep dreaming of a GOG release, because it ain't going to happen! Blizzard are already re-releasing retro classics for FREE on BNET, so I doubt they'll stop there. Pretty sure you can still purchase a lot of the older Warcraft games in packages via the BNET website as well. With BNET launcher, things will get a whole lot tighter as well.

If they are available as abandonware now, then can we add them to GOG.com and include them as some of the free games all accounts get when they sign up? Then I can get all my games in one place, and most people don't even know about abandonware.

Blizzard is notoriously stingy about giving their game rights away. If anything, they will sell it in their store if they do sell it.

I heard rumors that they were prepping up Warcraft 2 for modern PCs and they were going to release it for free (probably when the new WoW expansion comes out as a publicity stunt) but that's all talk.

Doubt Blizzard would let it, but... NON Battle.net versions. Damn, I hated the Battle.net logo that looked ugly on the load-up screen. And even worse, the Battle.net version of W2 cuts out a ton of the music. It fades tracks out prematurely to make room on the discs for the expansion data.

What a cheap move by Blizzard - truly reprehensible.

Can't we have the entire trilogy? I would love to give the RTS series that inspired one of the most influential MMORPGs of all time (World of Warcraft, duh). It would be lovely to see some Activision+Blizzard games on GOG, since they have a phobia of Steam.

On the last BlizzCon, someone from Blizzard said that a colleague of theirs is thinking on the possibility of re-releasing these games. It can mean a HD version or something like that. Therefore I don't see any chance of these gems to be released on GoG. :(
Would be nice to see them on GoG by the way, especially the first game, since the second is released as a Battle.net edition in 1999 (or 98'?) which works on Windows XP properly and maybe on 7 as well, but Orcs & Humans is a DOS game only.

Warcraft 2 and Diablo 1 were totally hacked back in the day by cheaters. Uber-levelled ogres and uber-powered swords and armor. Made multiplayer practically impossible to find a non-gimped match. That's why they developed Battlenet-only games to cut down on cheating.

Those two games, along with Diablo 1 and 2, were the best games this company ever created, and at the same time, the best in their respective genres, too. After warcraft 3 sit started becoming ugly, underage and shitstormed... I simply long for the warcraft 1+2, and the diablo 1+2 era. Please GoG, bring those games. Blizzard became an abomination, like EA, especially after merging with Activision. I would buy their games from you ANYTIME, i am never again going to spend a single coin on Blizzard ever again...

"Blizzard will only sell their games on Battle.net" Warcraft 2 is sadly not available in their shop. The only Blizzard Games you can buy on their homepage are WoW, Starcraft2 and Diablo3.

"warcraft 1 and 2 dont have cd keys, so its werry imposibel too enter them on battelnet" Indeed. Only the Warcraft 2 "Battle.net Edition has a CD-Key as far as I know.

Would be awesome to have a shop selling Warcraft 2 B.net Edition!

Game companies come and go. Good old games last forever. Blizzard is in a position now not unlike Sierra was back in the day. The mighty will fall soon enough and when that time comes we will get these babies playable DRM-free. It is only a matter of time.

I really doubt we'll ever see a Blizzard game sold on a different platform than Battle.net. I wouldn't mind Warcraft 1 and 2 being released in a proper and polished release which I can enjoy, without having constant crashes and errors which I currently do.

Someone from Blizzard has lately stated, that they're working to make Warcraft 1/2 playable on modern machines. I assume they'll sell them on their own digital store. I don't remember Blizzard games being sold digitally anywhere except Battle.net.

For those of you who had these games and still have the legitimate CD-key, you can go to the Blizzard website, log in to your bnet account and enter the CD-key and Blizzard will detect what product has that key and a digital installer of the most recent patched version will be added to your bnet account for download at no extra cost. This is great for people who like digital distribution or have lost their discs. I don't know if the older games would work on the new operating systems though.
