Rebel Moon Rising
you can find this game for free online but it does not have proper mouselook and thats baaaad
+1 for this please, I've got an original CD and still have to emulate it in Win98 to play
I'm searching for where to buy (another) copy of this. +1 for GOG!
I didn't even know this game existed until LGR did a video on the 3d blaster GPU today. I would love these games now.
This game does have a music issue.
I spoke with the creator of the game (Vox Day) and he said that he contacted GOG about getting this game on their platform but they never replied to him.
Let's push for this one please! I'd donated a generous sum of money to push for this. My original CD won't last long enough :O
@SpellSword:
The original Rebel Moon was designed for an early 3D accelerator with proprietary graphics API, the Rendition Verite V1000. The "3D Blaster PCI" was Creative Labs version of the card and Rebel Moon was bundled with it. Popular myth has it that Rendition's API was so bad that after porting Quake to it, John Carmack swore off proprietary graphics APIs forever and hopped onto the OpenGL bandwagon. XD
Great Doom-like, with great ambient!
Yes I want this game! I liked it.
There was also a novelization of Rebel Moon Rising. -_^ And it appears that the game was also the sequel to another game know as Rebel Moon that was apparently only distributed along with a Creative Labs sound card. O_o
If the original Rebel Moon could be sold along with Rising or added as a part of the bonus content that would be amazing! ^_^
Info from Wikipedia: -_^
"This game is also the sequel to the rarely found game "Rebel Moon". With the same basis as Rising, the player takes on 27 levels in the original "Rebel Moon", quite a few more levels than Rising. Rebel Moon was only found in a bonus disk with the Creative Labs software "3D BLASTER PCI"."
I recall it being quite terrible actually but for nostalgia reasons I'd probably buy it cheap heh. I think it came on a CD with a Pentium MMX chip I bought in the 90's.
Only four votes (myself included)? Come on guys this is an awesome shooter!
