OMG...and i did not notice it is here....THANK YOU!!!!! TOMORROW I'll buy it:)
Thank you gog!
Oh you're here too ? Happy birthday then !
It's here!
New Angels of Promise. The intro alone had me excited. Great song.
Please release this, GOG !
Still no Omikron. Why? :(
This one is also deserving of a place in this Heaven we call GOG.
Oh god so much this. Such an underrated game.
This was one of my favourite games. I got it when I got my first PC for myself. I would love to be able to play it again.
would make a wonderful addition, Quantic Dream's first game, the visually superior pc version, a classic in many ways featuring music and a cameo by David Bowie, an early French video game masterpiece blending genres, beautiful art My copy plays on Windows 7- 64 bit perfectly, but release it for everyone else!
crusaderbin, how'd you get it going? i have the retail version sitting her but it gives me "your video card does not have enough memory to play the nomad soul". I have a gtx580 classified so it is wrong, obviously.
Game works in decent resolution in Windows 7 64 bit, didnt try on my win8 yet but you can certainly run the game on new hardware. Although - yes - I had A LOT of trouble making it working on hardware mode (software was unnaceptable for me).
This is still one of my TOP 3 games!! (Next to the "Thief" series and "Morrowind".) As there are virtually NO possibilities to make the game run with newer graphics cards without the infamous blocky graphic glitches, you simply NEED to release a working version on GOG! This game is such an awesome and unforgettable grand journey!!
I would gladly buy this just for the Bowie soundtrack
I have two kidneys intact, I'm willing to donate one of them if you make Omikron available in Win 7.
Yeah, hope we'll see it here on gog, amazing game.
Not sure if the rights would have to be renegotiated by Square Enix due to David Bowie's involvement, but I'd really love to see this. I have it on Dreamcast but the FPS sections were a pain in the ass with that controller and I bet the PC version looks/plays better.
Include it, plox
Omikron: The Nomad Soul made by Quantic Dream (Heavy Rain / Fahrenheit Indigo Prophecy) in 1999 ... the unforgetable David Bowie music.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Omikron:_The_Nomad_Soul <<Wikipedia>>www.quanticdream.comhttp://www.google.com.au/search?q=Nomad+Soul&hl=en&tbo=u&tbm=isch&source=univ&sa=X&ei=NbrTULi5E6iQiQf4jYCQCg&ved=0CDsQsAQ&biw=1429&bih=717 <<Google Images>>
THE best game I've ever played. Still waiting for the promised part 2 (I'd even buy my first console for this). Meanwhile, I'd still love to find a game that can truly compete with this one (PM me). Oh, right, Bowie for ever (just because of the game haha). When I was in school, even the schoolbooks talked about this game. PS, don't forget to include the nude-patch (nothing much to see, but cleans-up story-line).
This would make me SO HAPPY. I moved and my CDs got destroyed and I never got to finish it. Love the story and the gameplay and it's impossible to find, let alone getting it to work!
Anyone that's played it has loved it. The story and depth rival games that come out today. All it needs is rebuilt for modern hardware and a facelift and I'd pay retail price for it again.
Qu'attendez vous pour nous livrer ce monuement du jeu vidéo ???! Can't wainting for it !
This would be AMAZING. The game has an issue with a legacy z-buffer preventing it from working on some of the more modern video cards, and it also happens to be hard to come by! Please re-release this!!!
Do add this, gog. I would pay hard-earned money for this gem of a game. Please make it happen. Growing up with Omikron, I would love to get a new chance to play it and pay for it! Again!
Seriously need this game, possibly over all the others on the list
Come on guys this is a shoo in. 4270 people are pledging to buy this game, eidos in down the drain. Let's get this moving please.
Seriously i do not know why, but this game is and was one of the most complex, most fascinating games ever. The story, terrifyingly new, astonishing, the graphics were quite okay(just compare to say Morrowind), the point and click part with multiple solution possibilities, the 3rd person shooters, the melee combats... the character depth, one of the first animated stripper girls :), and even though i am not a fan of Bowie, but him appearing as a singer and a "ghost"...wondrous....And i still love the Survive song, this game is seriously underrated....it actually disappeared from the stores before i could have gotten my hands on it again....Since i got my first AMD in 2007 my sole mission was to get my hands on Fahrenheit and on Nomad soul...yet in the past 5 years i have yet to succeed in the latter. So please GOG focus on this one!!!
Day-1 buy, just like I did with Thief.
This game needs to be put up! The graphics might be dated, but the story and gameplay are still wonderfully fresh. I can't think of another game with the same concept of Omikron. In a world with rehashed stories being brought out year after year, getting a new fanbase for Omikron would be a breath of fresh air
Would easily pay for this....
Great vision of the future town, nice magic system closer to the actual REAL deal, different worlds and character switching. First game to be a city-sim in 3D AND that had lip-sync, was VERY long, yet not boring and included all types of gameplay currently available (minus the strategy or racing perchaps). So fighting game, shooter, adventure game. Not to mention you could watch David Bowie perform as a digital character in game... Find me whatever new game so packed with content, whether it is downloadable, on few DVDs or BlueRays...
This was one of my favorite games when it worked on old machine. I would buy this game also in a second when it becomes available. Please make it work on new machines!! I'm willing to pay good $ for this. In my opinion.. this game has one of the coolest atmospheres to date.
This is my favorite game. Unfortunately, it won't run on my recent computers. I'm willing to pay a lot to be able to play it. This game is just awesome, really cool atmosphere and great storyline, I want to play this game again so badly :(
I would buy this game straight away if it was on GOG.
I want this game!
This game was awesome! Wasn't the theme song by David Bowie!? I loved this game so much. The whole futuristic city vibe was amazing to me back then.
I never got to play this but loved the idea (simulated "real" world? I'm in!). It'd be awesome to be able to try it out finally.
I've always loved this game - it's so unique and atmospheric. Sadly won't run on modern ATI cards so GOG is my only hope.
You've got Fahrenheit on here, which is awesome. It'd be great if Omikron was on here as well, but I think the David Bowie music rights are going to make that difficult.
Omikron: The Nomad Soul would be excellent addition to Good Old Games. We just have to hope for the best :D
Wow, one of you can have my copy. I got it off ebay a year back based on hype, played most of the way through the game waiting for it to get good. I couldn't stand it. But see if you can ebay it for cheap, I got it to work on my (admittedly circa 2005) computer with no hassle.
I'd litteraly pay 40 USD for this game. I grew up playing it and haven't been able to get it working on newer systems =(
I spent weeks playing this game and finding "the best" characters back in the day, and would dearly love to do so again. This game had atmosphere, which made it much better than the sum of its parts.
So badly want to play this game.
Really want to see this game on here! Had it many years ago but I lost the box somewhere between moves. I enjoyed it and would really love to play it again.
Would love to see this game being re-released by GOG, I have an ATI 6970 and I can't run this game properly, please fix this GOG :) would buy it instantly!
Great game that I would LOVE to buy from gog.com. I had it years ago for the Dreamcast and loved every minute of it!
I wonder, is the problem with getting this game on GOG something like different rights belonging to Quantic Dream and Eidos/Square Enix? Or is it more that you'd need to re-license the Bowie music?
