I've launched a small initiative to persuade the devs to release the Jazz Jackrabbit Series on GOG.com. We'll see how it goes. -- Link to the AMA: http://www.reddit.com/r/IAmA/comments/2a9ylr/iama_i_am_cliff_bleszinski_video_game_designer/ Link to Context: http://www.reddit.com/r/IAmA/comments/2a9ylr/iama_i_am_cliff_bleszinski_video_game_designer/cit0mwt?context=3 I've called Epic and expressed my desire to purchase [Jazz Jackrabbit from GOG] as well as noting the 7000+ community votes its received on GOG referring to them as "instant sales." Here's to hoping my request doesn't fall upon deaf ears. To anyone else willing to pitch in: http://epicgames.com/about/contact/ Contact Number for Epic Games: +1 (919) 854-0070 GOG Community Requests: [+93 votes] Epic MegaGames Classics - One Must Fall 2097, Jazz Jackrabbit + 2, Epic Pinball [+165 votes] Jazz Jackrabbit 2: The Secret Files Shareware Edition [+949 votes] Jazz Jackrabbit: Holiday Hare 1995 [+993 votes] Jazz Jackrabbit 2: Holiday Hare 98 [+28 votes] Jazz Jackrabbit 3 [+899 votes] Jazz Jackrabbit: Holiday Hare 1994 [+1,851 votes] Jazz Jackrabbit 2: The Secret Files [+3,890 votes] Jazz Jackrabbit 2 [+5606 votes] Jazz Jackrabbit Did I say 7,000? It's actually double: 14,474.
That free version of Jazz Jackrabbit 2 isn't the same. What I would love to see on gog.com is the CD-ROM version of the original Jazz Jackrabbit as it was loaded it up with all sorts of additional episodes on top of the originals. They could probably even bundle Holiday Hare with it too.
It would be great to have it!
Actually it is now abondonware / Freeware You guys can download it from the net, I just tried one on window 7 and it works http://jazz-jackrabbit-2.en.softonic.com/download
Actually, kirtide, funnily enough, someone recently made a total conversion for Jazz 1 called "Sonic With a Gun". Anyway, I do agree that Jazz is very Sonic-like, but in my opinion, Jazz is superior(In fact, Jazz is the main reason I've never really got into the Sonic games).
Jazz is sonic with a gun!

@FlamingFirewire: Download an earlier Shareware version of the game that still has it, then put the EXE in the same folder as the full game, and it should work. Although you might not be able to play the A B and C episodes.
Agreed, I used to play the shareware version It would to be awesome this is on GOG. : )
After seeing the LGR review, it would be sweet to see the CD-ROM version with the Apogee cheat still in the game.
I want both Jazz Jackrabbit games on GOG.com either in a pack or stand alone. I love watching people play these games but in my PC gaming childhood I never had the chance to play it.
This is one of the Gem from the old days :) Please make it happen
I would love this!
@CelticMinstrel Actually, J1E is fully capable of allowing you to select any level you like as the "Next Level", so you could make the Xmas Episode play all the levels from both Holiday Hares, although I don't think Epic would even want to do this, so I doubt they'd add an extra Episode option. Of course, I'd love Epic to do anything new Jazz-related, and if they did a new game or a HD Remake, I'd get it in a heartbeat, but I just don't think that's going to happen for a while at least. Having said that, next year Jazz 1 will be 20 years old, so perhaps they could give it a 20th anniversary re-release that could test the waters for a new game? Yeah, I'm getting kind of hopeful here, but I like to fantasize about possible futures where all my favourite franchises are revived. Although, who knows, maybe Epic will re-release Jazz. In their position, that's what I'd do, since all they'd need to do is basically just say "Hey, GoG, here's Jazz. Go nuts." Jazz is DRM-free anyway, so it would work perfectly.
This game is long overdue for Gog's release
I don't know why, but I really want this game again.
Please make it happen, it definitely deserve to be on GOG
This wish is here for so long, please add it!
Yet another great game from our childhoods, I would really like to see it here :)
I don't think J1E could do what I had in mind. Are you thinking about actually merging the two episodes? I don't think I would like that. What I meant was actually altering the game so that the episode picker has an additional slot. It'll probably never happen, but it'd be a nice touch if it did.
Well, technically, it would be possible to force the game to run all the levels of both Holiday Hare episodes, but it would require fiddling around with J1E and it could all bug out.
I'm aware they're free, I just think it'd be nice to have all 11 episodes in the episode picker. The first Holiday Hare is already there (at least in the CD edition), so it'd just mean adding the second one, somehow.
@goToni Actually, it isn't impossible, it just takes a lot of patience and some precise timing. If you really can't do it, download J1E(Jazz 1 Level Editor) from Jazz2Online, and edit the level yourself. @CelticMinstrel Actually, since Holiday Hare '94 and '95 are both Freeware, they could have HH94 and '95 available for free(Like Tyrian, Teenagent, etc.). @Comradedemption IMO, the best way to do it would be Jazz 1 and 2 sold as a bundle(With Holiday Hare '98 and Christmas Chronicles '99 included as bonus downloads, along with the complete soundtrack of the entire series), with Holiday Hare '94 and '95 released separately as Freeware(Like with Tyrian, Teenagent, etc.) @DennisLaurson89 If they did release it here, it would be the full version. And now for the general part of my post: Until recently, it was possible to buy JJ1 first-hand legitimately from a place called Epic Classics(Although -- according to various sources on the internet -- what they'd give you is a legitimately burned CD-R with a high-quality Xerox print of the cover art and the manual), but some time last year(Or perhaps the year before), it was closed. Curiously, shortly after that, Epic opened the Epic Store. So, I'm hoping for the Epic Store to start selling JJ1 at some point(I don't really care about them selling JJ2, since copies of that are super-cheap and super-common on eBay).
I would love to see Jazz Jackrabbit on GOG. And please, let it be the full version, with all the episodes!
If we are getting Jazz, we should get the whole shabang! Let's get JJ2 and the holiday games and everything bundled into one! I miss these games and would love to be able to purchase them.
It's probably not possible without a lot of work, but if they could get all 11 episodes (including the second Holiday Hare) in a single bundle (ie, adding an 11th menu option to the episode select), that would be wonderful
Wow!! it's second game that I played when I was child. I'd really like to buy it on GOG.com!
This game was and still is one of finest things on pc. I'd love to play this again!
If CD version of Jazz Jackrabbit is ever released the level Orbitus 2 needs to be fixed. There were at least two CD releases of this game. One was OK. The other one had a bug in the level Orbitus 2 that makes it impossible to play through that level.
If you add this, try and add modern gamepad support as well - platformers on PC are so difficult to play on keyboard, I find. ...and if you can, throw the soundtrack in there as well ;)
Adddddddd Zombie says Adddddd. lol. please add this game is great cant find it at all except an ISO image which takes forever to use.
This platformer is so rad. The best one ever for PC, IMHO. Plz add, K thx :0)
@Rickpwns, you might want to also vote for Jazz Jackrabbit 2, then. But anyway, this game is so awesome. It took me a year of checking eBay every day to finally get this game, but it deserves to be easily available digitally. By the way, Jazz 2 is easy to get. There's always at least two copies on eBay or Amazon.
what an amazing soundtrack... lossless if possible!
Please GoG! You already added many of my favorite games, but Jazz Jack Rabbit (2) is my favorite! I wouldn't mind to pay 20 Euro's for this + All DLC's!
I wish I could vote a million times
First game I ever played and I would love to play it again.
A great game from my childhood, would definitely buy this and 2 also!
Well, games in this series and all the versions of the Halloween Harry (there were a ton of those!) would be nice! Basically, this game meant for PC what Sonic the Hedgehog meant for Sega.
I would be more than just willingly to pay for playing such a wonderful kid memory like this one
OH GOD YES! Please release this!
GoG simply cannot be complete without Jazz Jackrabbit and the tremendous soundtrack for it. Come on now.
This needs to be in GoG.
Tordhs, Jazz isn't Freeware, so you just posted a Warez link, which -- if I remember correctly -- is against the rules.
you can get it as freeware here if you want: http://www.myabandonware.com/game/jazz-jackrabbit-2bf#download but i really, really, really, want this game on gog!! its an instant buy! ps. instructions for how to get jazz jackrabbit to work (under the D-Fend Reloaded Setup section ;) http://www.myabandonware.com/howto/
Jazz jackrabbit games are right up there in the top3 best pc platformers ever!
Loved this game when I was kid and would pay for this right away if GOG released it,
@Perrydotto This @GoG if there is any game that I had to buy that was on the small floppies before cds even (shocking!) of which was always shareware when i went to computer shows jazz jackrabbit along with every shareware that was ever released in the early 90s should. be. on. this. site. but more importantly why is this game NOT HERE?
This game, and the soundtrack please.
