Yes it's true that it's already freeware, but a flawless mac port with multiplayer support would be just brilliant and I would pay for it!
Adding this as a free game here on GOG wouldn't hurt at all if possible!
london!!!
I'd shell out a few bucks for a bundle with the London 196* expansions (also voted for) and flawlessly working on Windows 7/8 x64
O wait im thinking of GTA 2 my bad
its already freely available. All you have to do is register at the site to get a download link. Dont see the point to this.
+1 for a Mac Port. It would be great to be able to play these again. Still love the soundtrack for the first game! :)
They should port it to Mac, what with the new announcement and all.
It is free. It should be on GOG.com.www.rockstargames.com/classics/?id=1
the freeware version of GTA 2 works fine on vista and 7...
and at least for GTA2 it works fine on both vista and 7
i would buy this game as soon as it would show...just love it....great game...one of the first games (not sure but i do not think Postal came out b4 GTA) in which u actually were not going to help the world and rescue it....
i wouldnt mind paying maybe 1-3 bucks for this if they could fix the compatibility with win7
Make this happen and i will buy it ASAP.
GOG is great because they take old games that people love, games that dont work very well on newer systems, and they fix all the errors so that they DO work on new pcs, I bought Deus Ex from GOG as soon as it came out, because the retail copy I own of the disc doesnt work on my pc with the 64 bit version of vista, but the GOG version DOES work, so I hope they obtain the license to sell GTA1 and GTA2 on here, I would love to replay both of those games and not worry about them crashing because they are old games
Indeed they're freeware, but I would rather download them from here then from Rockstars site.
@DCT try running it on W7 x64 and wait till it crushes. I assume it will take about 15 minutes. Probably on W8 it will be entirely impossible
Perhaps they can be offered as freeware here too, but fixed, because the GTA on Rockstars site doesn't work very well on newer systems.
GTA 1 and 2 are Freeware you know
