jonpaulfm While The Mighty Eighth is considered the pinnacle of bomber sims, the original has a certain charm that even TME doesn't. It's "simmy" enough to be a challenge but light enough to enjoy during a short break on the laptop. I also admit that I get stressed when I play TME (I bought it here) because I have to mind the tweaks and control scheme, with my joystick acting up every few hours. When I get frustrated at it, I simply run the original B-17 on DOSBox (I have the freeware version from BombsAway.net) and just use the keyboard and mouse controls. If you want to feel like a real B-17 pilot, pick TME. But if you want to just play a game with bombs in it, then you have to give us the original B-17.
