Patching GOG.com's The Witcher 2 to version 1.3

As of April 17 2012, and The Witcher 2 Enhanced Edition's release, the following description is no longer relevant. To use the latest version of The Witcher 2, redownload and reinstall it.

There have been some confusion around patching GOG's version of The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings to the latest 1.3 version. We've written a program that should handle the whole thing for you, and if that doesn't work (for some reason) we also decided to give you a quick-and easy, step-by-step guide how to upgrade your game to the latest version manually. Ready, set, go!

Please note: We have not yet updated the actual downloadable game file to version 1.3, so if you re-download the game you'll still need to install the patches.

If you go to "My Account", in the "additional content" section for The Witcher 2 at the very bottom, you'll find "The Witcher 2 Auto patcher". Please use this small and clever program that will tell you what version of the game you have and update The Witcher 2 for you.The world is not perfect, though. And sometimes things don't work as we planned, so just in case the autopatcher doesn't work for you, here is how you can update your game manually.IF YOU JUST BOUGHT THE WITCHER 2 ON GOG.com:1) Download and install The Witcher 2 from GOG.com - this way you have version 1.0.2) Go to "My Account", download the 1.0 -> 1.3 patch from the "additional content" and install it. 3) And there you go, you can now enjoy the latest version of the awesome RPG!IF YOU HAVE THE WITCHER 2 version 1.1:1) Launch the game launcher and allow it to download and install patch 1.2.2) Download and install the 1.2-1.3 patch from TheWitcher.com.3) And there you go, you can now enjoy the latest version of the awesome RPG!IF YOU HAVE THE WITCHER 2 version 1.2:1) You just need to download and install the 1.2-1.3 patch from TheWitcher.com.2) and you can enjoy the latest version of the awesome RPG!We hope that clears all the confusion and now everyone can play and enjoy this great game with all the latest tweaks and features!
