Your wish, sire? - Good games based on the Middle Ages73votes I like it
DrIstvaan says: If you're looking for good strategy games featuring the Middle Ages, this is for you. You have to keep an eye on a number of factors (in turn-based mode) to make your kingdom flourish and then lead your armies to victory (in real-time battles).
DrIstvaan says: It may not be as good as its predecessors, mainly because it lacks much of the depth of those games, but if you don't look on it as the 3rd part of the series, you may find it's a decent RTS on its own.
DrIstvaan says: Ever wanted to build your own impenetrable castle? Now is your chance! Build the fort of your dreams! Of course, you need stones for that, which is produced by serfs, whom you must feed, and so on, which means the game has a nice economic side, too.
DrIstvaan says: Just like Stronghold, but set in the Middle East, and even more polished. Additionally, it has neat new game modes (the Skirmish and the "Crusader Trail"). It's also worth noting that both Stronghold games feature supreme, immersive soundtracks.
DrIstvaan says: It's hard to classify this game, but it's mostly a person/dynasty simulator set in a chosen medieval city. You have tons of things to do from managing your businesses to lowly intrigues, meaning you'll never get bored!
DrIstvaan says: The basic premise of the Patrician games is trading in the (glory) days of the Hanseatic League, which is carried out so well that anyone who has an interest in economic simulations is really advised to check out this game (or its predecessors).
DrIstvaan says: It may be more like Renaissance, but this one is such a great (hidden) gem of a TBS that it deserves to be here. Go and conquest the New World for your soverign, using any means necessary (but mainly, building large colonial cities)!
Treat your GOGmix as your child - name it! ;)
Coming up with a cool and descriptive title should be your first priority. Being original is in your best interest - bet you wanna get lots of nice votes, right? Go all crazy if you want, but be sure to keep it civil!
So, what are the ingredients?
Pick a game that belongs in your GOGmix from the list, or find it by typing something in the text field. Relevance is key here - Earthworm Jim doesn't quite fit the "Sexiest heroines of all time" bill now, does it?
Justify your choice... Or not!
OK, so it's not required, but now that you went through the trouble of adding a game, telling everyone why you did it would be a nice finishing touch. After you're done here, add another game, rinse, repeat.
