Rambutaan says: A Steampunk/fantasy game where you've got science and magic on two opposite sides of the spectrum. Do you want to create repeater rifles so you can teach those pansy, tree-hugging elves about technology? You can in Arcanum!
Rambutaan says: An awesome RPG set in post-apocalyptic USA, while at times the game seemed infuriatingly difficult, it has lots of character to win you over.
Rambutaan says: Probably one of the best games you haven't played, Freedom Force vs the Third Reich is a tactical squad-based combat game with superheroes. One feature I liked is that they have a whole backstory for each of the superheroes under your command.
Rambutaan says: It may take some getting used to the blocky graphics, it's fun to explore Languedoc, France and learn about the conspiracy theories surrounding the Knights Templar.
Rambutaan says: Best squad-based tactical game ever... except maybe for its sequel :).
Rambutaan says: Like its predecessor, JA2 sees you commanding a group of mercenaries to liberate a country - this time however you get to roleplay as yourself as one of the mercs is you!
Rambutaan says: Played King's Quest V and VI as a kid and they were quite amazing for their time (they had voice acting and VI even had its own soppy love duet). The story, puzzles and music though are pretty good even if the graphics may seem dated.
Rambutaan says: A classic adventure game that was released during a drought of adventure games (the late 90s). While the graphics may be dated the great characterisation and the dichotomy between the world of Stark and Arcadia makes this a great game to play.
Rambutaan says: There are a lot of Fantasy TBSs out there and you may not have heard of this one but what I liked about it is the fact that each faction represents a different element or concept (Life, Death, Fire, Earth, Wind, Water, Order and Chaos)
Rambutaan says: The original Lords of the Realm had you as a contender for the crown in Medieval England. What I found hilarious is that you had a narrated explanation (with audio) of what crop rotation is when you played (hey it's very important! Apparently...).
Rambutaan says: Classic sci-fi TBS games that made the term "4X" famous.
Rambutaan says: Might not look so good now but the graphics were pretty awesome when Megarace 2 first came out. The music and atmosphere in this game are still top notch though.
Rambutaan says: Spent many times at LANs playing this game co-op. Fun while it lasts :).
Rambutaan says: Had heaps of fun playing these although getting used to the text parser in SQ1 (original) and SQ2 may take some getting used to!
Rambutaan says: I remember SQ4 as being one of the hardest adventure games I ever played (due to the many creative ways of dying in it) - SQV was easier and was a joy for fans of Star Trek (as it effectively parodies it).
Treat your GOGmix as your child - name it! ;)
Coming up with a cool and descriptive title should be your first priority. Being original is in your best interest - bet you wanna get lots of nice votes, right? Go all crazy if you want, but be sure to keep it civil!
So, what are the ingredients?
Pick a game that belongs in your GOGmix from the list, or find it by typing something in the text field. Relevance is key here - Earthworm Jim doesn't quite fit the "Sexiest heroines of all time" bill now, does it?
Justify your choice... Or not!
OK, so it's not required, but now that you went through the trouble of adding a game, telling everyone why you did it would be a nice finishing touch. After you're done here, add another game, rinse, repeat.
