TO11MTM says: This is a game that while lost in the wake of Doom's relatives (i.e. Released about the same time as both Heretic AND Doom 2,) Has a lot going for it. quirky humor, good level design, and a number of features other FPS's would not have for years.
TO11MTM says: I first played this when it was bundled with our fam's Creative SB32 CDrom Kit. It's fun, and has enough varied environments to make it worth a good play... even if for as lavish as the environments are, the story isn't really there.
TO11MTM says: Oh, Blood. I always found it funny that most Build engine games were more than a little tongue-in-cheek. This is one of the more serious ones, but still fun and inventive. Also, it is one of Monolith's first titles so it's a good primer on them.
TO11MTM says: I'm always amazed to hear that so few people have played this game! Sure, it's chess, but it's absolutely fun to play even if chess wasn't your game. tl;dr - It's Wizard's Chess. Play it.
TO11MTM says: Crusader, No Remorse hearkens back to a time when Lucasfilm wasn't so quick to sue people. Just look at our guy. Then look at our guy shoot at people and blow things up. Challenging, but fun, and a good story for an action game.
TO11MTM says: Gobliiins got me so frustrated as a child. Not just because each title had less and less i's, but because the solutions to puzzles were often so simple once you knew them! A challenging Adventure/puzzle game classic.
TO11MTM says: This is another great puzzle game series. The only thing that makes me sad is it is lacking the "Incredible Toon Machine," which was basically a bit more lighthearted version of the same premise, also done by Sierra/Dynamix.
TO11MTM says: This game was so... Original, and yet derivative at once. Mad Max crossed with Disco and Mechwarrior. It works a lot better than that sounds.
TO11MTM says: This was one of my favorite timewasters as a kid. The semi-random battles/missions gave a lot of variety, and for the time it was released it was amazing how much personality this game and it's characters had.
TO11MTM says: Kings Quest is an essential piece of PC Gaming history, in my humble opinion. I picked this one because 5 and 6 are really the high points of the series; it was all downhill from there. =/
TO11MTM says: I'm always surprised that more people haven't played this game. It is so freaking weird, but is rather serious at the same time. Fun, Fluid, and a great example of good 3rd Person platforming.
TO11MTM says: Another Innovative, Quirky, and challenging title. This was back when EA wasn't evil and let it's developers make really cool stuff, and this is an example of the originality that flourished back then.
TO11MTM says: Return to Zork was just plain Weird at times. While easily falling into the adventure game genre, what makes it special is the production values at the time were unprecedented. Fact: They had a special version of this game for 'MPEG Accelerators'
TO11MTM says: This was the PC's Ridge Racer, more or less. In my opinion, a bit more fun anyway...
TO11MTM says: A Pretty good Mech game with some cool technology for it's time. Destroyable terrain was pretty cool back then.
Treat your GOGmix as your child - name it! ;)
Coming up with a cool and descriptive title should be your first priority. Being original is in your best interest - bet you wanna get lots of nice votes, right? Go all crazy if you want, but be sure to keep it civil!
So, what are the ingredients?
Pick a game that belongs in your GOGmix from the list, or find it by typing something in the text field. Relevance is key here - Earthworm Jim doesn't quite fit the "Sexiest heroines of all time" bill now, does it?
Justify your choice... Or not!
OK, so it's not required, but now that you went through the trouble of adding a game, telling everyone why you did it would be a nice finishing touch. After you're done here, add another game, rinse, repeat.
