ZapMcRaygunn says: This is the beginning of the series. From the strange mix of Sci-Fi and fantasy of Ultima I in which you traversed medieval dungeons with a laser blaster and battled tie-fighters in space to the somber and difficult fantasy of III, this is the start.
ZapMcRaygunn says: The series hits its stride here with the story of the Avatar and his (or her) adventures and the series finds its central story line as the "Beat The Bad Guy" adventures change to a story of virtues and avatar hood, changing the face of the RPG.
ZapMcRaygunn says: Avatar, you are not in Britannia anymore. Fantasy hero The Avatar here becomes a 1930s style pulp action hero here in a world reminiscent of Arthur Conan Doyle's lost world. One of the only pulp RPGs out there, and a truly different Ultima adventure.
ZapMcRaygunn says: This time, The Avatar goes on a history-twisting adventure on Mars with many Victorian historical figures from Sigmund Freud to Nicola Tesla to Rasputin in a rare Steam Punk classic adventure different from any other Ultima.
ZapMcRaygunn says: This set of first-person dungeon adventures seems simple at first, but they are real role playing games where your decisions affect the world. Don't just swing your sword, but use diplomacy and you will find many who will help you in your travels.
ZapMcRaygunn says: The Avatar's adventures take a dark twist story-wise, as the Guardian makes his first appearance and the world becomes almost real. People have their own lives and schedules and you can bake bread, farm, and live in the world as you adventure.
ZapMcRaygunn says: After the masterpiece of VII, Ultima turns to an arcade adventure setting the stage for games such as Diablo and telling a story of desperation. Trippy mushrooms, arcade-style jumping sequences and depressing music show the decline of Ultima.
Treat your GOGmix as your child - name it! ;)
Coming up with a cool and descriptive title should be your first priority. Being original is in your best interest - bet you wanna get lots of nice votes, right? Go all crazy if you want, but be sure to keep it civil!
So, what are the ingredients?
Pick a game that belongs in your GOGmix from the list, or find it by typing something in the text field. Relevance is key here - Earthworm Jim doesn't quite fit the "Sexiest heroines of all time" bill now, does it?
Justify your choice... Or not!
OK, so it's not required, but now that you went through the trouble of adding a game, telling everyone why you did it would be a nice finishing touch. After you're done here, add another game, rinse, repeat.
