The adventures of a lifetime3votes I like it
Sparkbomber says: Okay, let's say you want to spend ages on your games. If so, this is the GOG-mix for you. La Mulana on GOG is a breathtaking remake of the original freeware, msx-like pc game. Almost 100% perfect and the difficulty will make you try, try, try again.
Sparkbomber says: If you think this is just another BG like game, think again. Planescape Torment is by far one of the best games ever made with an insane amount of dialogue, descriptive texts and banter (enough to get a world record.) and is awesome beyond words.
Sparkbomber says: Okay, this goes for BG1 as well: The BG CRPG games are amongst the best buys on GOG. On their own, expect 40+ hours worth of gameplay. Add to that the countless mods and the active modding community and the figures jump to 100+ hours easily.
Sparkbomber says: Okay, another series you might think, but for me VI and VII are the cream of the crop. Rivaling BG1&2 for length, replayability and engrossment and you're on to a winner, eh?
Sparkbomber says: Okay, call me a fan, but Sanitarium is one of the best psychological thrillers and a game to boot. Beware of disturbing imagery though and don't let the 90's rpg look of it scare you off.
Sparkbomber says: Hmm... Well, this one's in dubio. The remake (and of 2) is deplorable, but comes with the original game which is spectacular... The intro in it self is so memorable that if you say "Paris in the fall..." at a game-con a horde will chime in.
Sparkbomber says: A little rough around the edges maybe, but wow oh wow am I glad I picked it up. DE: The chains of Satinav takes you on a journey through a dark medieval setting with a wacked out fairy-realm, magic and dire prophecies to boot. Enjoy
Sparkbomber says: Okay, deeply disturbing in it's own right. This is a fantastic game that I'm extatic about. It's finally being made available on GOG and can induce technophobia to a high degree. Based off a novel, turned into a masterpiece.
Sparkbomber says: Okay, technically with an RTS you lack a sense of adventure.. After all, you can replace your dead troops, right? Not so in Dungeon Keeper. Rather than playing a goofy hero you take the role of a demonic mastermind out to conquer a sugarcoated world.
Sparkbomber says: A must play for anyone who's gamed in the 80's, 90's and early 2000's. It has several rough spots and is somewhat heavy on corn, but for the inherent nostalgia it has an awesome wowfactor.
Sparkbomber says: Along with #1 this is another CRPG series that you'll love if you give it a chance. Though a bit more centered on action the atmosphere, artwork and challenge make it a fantastic voyage to take.
Sparkbomber says: Okay, a freebie here on GOG, but not something to sneeze at. Despite the oldish graphics this remains one of the damned best adventure games ever made. Use your wits and your sense of humor to escape, save the world and what not.
Treat your GOGmix as your child - name it! ;)
Coming up with a cool and descriptive title should be your first priority. Being original is in your best interest - bet you wanna get lots of nice votes, right? Go all crazy if you want, but be sure to keep it civil!
So, what are the ingredients?
Pick a game that belongs in your GOGmix from the list, or find it by typing something in the text field. Relevance is key here - Earthworm Jim doesn't quite fit the "Sexiest heroines of all time" bill now, does it?
Justify your choice... Or not!
OK, so it's not required, but now that you went through the trouble of adding a game, telling everyone why you did it would be a nice finishing touch. After you're done here, add another game, rinse, repeat.
