The ABSOLUTE BEST of GOG.com (that I've played)2votes I like it
angeloCiRE says: The OG of cRPGs, Baldur's Gate was the (true) launch-point for so many Forgotten Realms games - BG2, Icewind Dale 1&2, Neverwinter Nights, etc.... With one of the most engaging stories I've ever played, it still remains one of my favorites.
angeloCiRE says: Easily one of the best overlooked 3D RTSers. When it was released, it gained fame for its incredibly in-depth ability to customize all your units - functionality still near-unheard of in strategy games( Empire Earth, AoE, Starcraft, C&C Gen, etc).
angeloCiRE says: Oft-debated competitor to the Wing Commander series for best spaceflight / spacecombat simulator. Hook up a joystick and never look back. Doesn't beat Freelancer out in open-world-ness, but certainly does in every other way.
angeloCiRE says: The epitome of non- base-building RTS, Ground Control introduced or perfected many innovative elements to the RTS genre - unit exp carryover, non-static aircraft - as well as being a game you truly can play with whatever playstyle suits you best.
angeloCiRE says: My boorish words cannot do it justice. So unique. So amazing. It was nigh-impossible to find before GOG salvaged it. When I first saw it, my eyes felt a little misty...
angeloCiRE says: Don't let anyone tell you this game isn't amazing. Try it yourself. I have heard too many "I'll never love again" X-Com fans deride this game to take them seriously anymore. Their complaints all boil down to it not being X-Com. Grab the Combo Mo
Treat your GOGmix as your child - name it! ;)
Coming up with a cool and descriptive title should be your first priority. Being original is in your best interest - bet you wanna get lots of nice votes, right? Go all crazy if you want, but be sure to keep it civil!
So, what are the ingredients?
Pick a game that belongs in your GOGmix from the list, or find it by typing something in the text field. Relevance is key here - Earthworm Jim doesn't quite fit the "Sexiest heroines of all time" bill now, does it?
Justify your choice... Or not!
OK, so it's not required, but now that you went through the trouble of adding a game, telling everyone why you did it would be a nice finishing touch. After you're done here, add another game, rinse, repeat.
