Protoss' list of TBS goodness he played before GOG3votes I like it
Protoss says: Imperialism sets you in the throne of a mighty empire that in the upcoming age of industrialism wants to rule the world. It offers a lot of depth and I played it for a long time. Unfortunately my CD version kept on crashing after a while in Win XP...
Protoss says: Heroes of Might and Magic 2 is a battle-oriented strategy game in a fantasy setting. The spinoff of the famous RPG series soon became a top name by itself, and for me the second part remains the most played, simply because I had it very soon.
Protoss says: Heroes of Might and Magic 3 is the highlight of the battle-oriented fantasy series with horribly dumb DRM that prevented me from getting it in 1998 - it wouldn't work on a multi-CDROM PC. Got it years later when it was too late: I lacked motivation.
Protoss says: Sid Meier's Colonization is a Civ-like game where you have many more options to build your colonies as you settle and conquer America. Your ultimate goal is independence, and with the many things in the game it might as well be Sid Meier's best work.
Protoss says: Master of Orion 2 for me was always a favorite game. Set in the future, you must research technologies and conquer the galaxy, but since you can't have all technologies unless you sacrifice other advantages the game puts hard decisions everywhere.
Protoss says: Because of the game's serious bug-infection this game only can get four stars from me. Being a Civ clone in a fantasy universe where you can change almost everything with magic, this is a unique and demanding strategy game for pro-level players.
Protoss says: As a spiritual successor to Master of Magic, many things are similar but dumbed down: You can't build own towns, for example. It is still recommended if you want a good fantasy TBS that also is suited for players without the time to learn a lot.
Treat your GOGmix as your child - name it! ;)
Coming up with a cool and descriptive title should be your first priority. Being original is in your best interest - bet you wanna get lots of nice votes, right? Go all crazy if you want, but be sure to keep it civil!
So, what are the ingredients?
Pick a game that belongs in your GOGmix from the list, or find it by typing something in the text field. Relevance is key here - Earthworm Jim doesn't quite fit the "Sexiest heroines of all time" bill now, does it?
Justify your choice... Or not!
OK, so it's not required, but now that you went through the trouble of adding a game, telling everyone why you did it would be a nice finishing touch. After you're done here, add another game, rinse, repeat.
