My Favorite GOG Games3votes I like it
Gazoinks says: The ultimate flawed masterpiece, and probably my favorite game ever. A great world, good story, excellent character development system, and a wealth of choices compensate for the flaws and make this an excellent cRPG.
Gazoinks says: One of the best adventure games. Includes: A good female protagonist, excellent voice acting, beautiful prerendered graphics. The puzzles are pretty easy, but this is really a story game, not a puzzle game. It's long for an adventure game, too.
Gazoinks says: My personal favorite of the Thief series. Really just more of what makes the first game great. More pure thieving, more Garret being great, more fun tools to play with, more sprawling levels, more ways to tackle levels, more taffers.
Gazoinks says: Probably my favorite turn-based strategy game. Plays like the Civilization games in space, but more so, with additional twists such as terraforming and ecological impact. Surprisingly atmospheric, and has a fairly interesting story.
Gazoinks says: Tim Schafer being Tim Schafer. Occasionally frustrating mechanics, but it's more than made up for by the charming artistic direction, great writing, varied worlds, and general uniqueness of the whole experience.
Gazoinks says: One of the greatest stealth games, with an excellent protagonist and a variety of ways to progress across the sprawling levels. I'm not crazy about the tomb-raidery stuff, so I prefer Thief 2, but Gold is still excellent.
Gazoinks says: It's Myst, but less of a pain to navigate. It still looks pretty good, and I think I prefer this version to the original. As for Myst: It has some incredibly annoying puzzles, but what it does better than almost anything else is atmosphere.
Gazoinks says: Speaking of which: Riven has even more ridiculous puzzles, but an excellent and beautiful world. I admit to being somewhat biased because I loved to explore the world when I was little, despite having no idea how to solve the puzzles.
Gazoinks says: An excellent strategy game based on managing a small squad of up to 6 dudes. Though there are only 5 factions, they all play very differently. Disciples 2 also excels in atmosphere, with a fairly low-key soundtrack and excellent gothic-tinged art.
Gazoinks says: Mainly suffering compared to the first two due to excessive linearity, Thief 3 is by itself a great game with great atmosphere and fun gameplay. It's just not as sublime as the first two.
Treat your GOGmix as your child - name it! ;)
Coming up with a cool and descriptive title should be your first priority. Being original is in your best interest - bet you wanna get lots of nice votes, right? Go all crazy if you want, but be sure to keep it civil!
So, what are the ingredients?
Pick a game that belongs in your GOGmix from the list, or find it by typing something in the text field. Relevance is key here - Earthworm Jim doesn't quite fit the "Sexiest heroines of all time" bill now, does it?
Justify your choice... Or not!
OK, so it's not required, but now that you went through the trouble of adding a game, telling everyone why you did it would be a nice finishing touch. After you're done here, add another game, rinse, repeat.
