Mostly RPG's - with a basis of comparison

GOGmix by pigdog's avatarpigdog 3votes

Baldur's Gate: The Original Saga

pigdog's rating:
250

pigdog says: Non-GOG rpg favourite - Oblivion. Open world, fun to explore, great storytelling. Tricky at first for noobs to the genre but wonderful when mastered. Best played with tutu-mod.

Baldur's Gate 2 Complete

pigdog's rating:
250

pigdog says: Another non-gog RPG favourite - Fallout 3. Popular opinion is that BG2 does everything better than BG1. Not in my opinion. It's a top RPG but let down by a slightly more linear approach. Some battles get tedious. More loveable henchmen than BG1.

Sacred Gold

pigdog's rating:
250

pigdog says: Favourite non-GOG hack and slash - Diablo 2. Lot's of fun - very little brainpower required. Variety of characters to choose from. Quests can be repetitive but who cares. A winning formula is best left untouched.

Painkiller Black Edition

pigdog's rating:
250

pigdog says: Favourite non-GOG FPS - Bioshock. See something evil - kill it... with a variety of weapons. No nonsense shooter that's soooo much fun. Easy (daydream) level for FPS amateurs.

Planescape: Torment

pigdog's rating:
250

pigdog says: Not comparable to any other game I've played. It's a game or is it a book? Great plot, wonderful humour and unrivalled immersion.

Two Worlds

pigdog's rating:
250

pigdog says: Favourite completely unrelated (or very loosely linked) RPG - Mass Effect 2. Fun RPG that is not to be taken at all seriously. Laughable voice acting that adds to the charm of the game. Fab weapon, armour and trinket stacking!

Duke Nukem: Manhattan Project

pigdog's rating:
250

pigdog says: Oh - can I apply ME2 to this as well?. A bit of a blast. Corny one liners and large breasted ladies. A fun "pick up and play for 10 minutes" game. Best played applying WASD keys to movement.

Neverwinter Nights: Diamond Edition

pigdog's rating:
250

pigdog says: Another fav non-GOG rpg - Guild Wars. I'm about 16 hours in and think this is deserving of a 5* game so far. Just about the right amount of freedom and side quests. Tricky AD&D rules to start but eases you in at a comfortable pace.

Treat your GOGmix as your child - name it! ;)

Coming up with a cool and descriptive title should be your first priority. Being original is in your best interest - bet you wanna get lots of nice votes, right? Go all crazy if you want, but be sure to keep it civil!

So, what are the ingredients?

Pick a game that belongs in your GOGmix from the list, or find it by typing something in the text field. Relevance is key here - Earthworm Jim doesn't quite fit the "Sexiest heroines of all time" bill now, does it?

Justify your choice... Or not!

OK, so it's not required, but now that you went through the trouble of adding a game, telling everyone why you did it would be a nice finishing touch. After you're done here, add another game, rinse, repeat.
